Nathanial has explained why he wasn’t at the MAFS reunion last night and it’s salty AF

Last night saw the start of the two-part MAFS UK 2023 reunion, and you might have noticed Nathanial was very much missing from the group. Everyone from the experiment returned for another dinner party, and we saw which couples had made it last.

Nathanial, who epically quit the show after his wife Ella cheated with JJ, didn’t show up. In an Instagram post, he’s said he “couldn’t think of anything worse” than attending the reunion, which is strong to say the least.

During a Q&A session on Instagram, a fan asked: “Did you attend the MAFS reunion date?” To which Nathaniel replied: “I couldn’t imagine anything worse.”

He refused to attend the event, which was filmed in September, as he didn’t want to come face-to-face with Ella and JJ ever again.

An insider told The Sun: “Nathanial didn’t show up for the reunion, which was a bit of an insult to his fellow cast. He made no secret of the fact that he had some struggles during the show, but lots of other brides and grooms had a tough time and still turned up.”

They added: “When you sign a contract to do a show, it’s poor form not to see it through to the end. There were brides and grooms on the show who got a far worse edit than Nathanial and still turned up to face the music, so it was odd that he decided to have nothing to do with it – especially as he has been very vocal about the show on social media.

“While he may have had some bad blood with Ella and JJ, snubbing the invite was a slap in the face to all the friends he did make during filming.” Channel 4 has confirmed Nathanial was invited to the reunion, he just chose to not attend.

Nathanial has made it clear he wants nothing to do with the show since filming, and has previously branded the experiment a “complete sham”. In an interview, Nathanial claimed the cast were fed “scripted lines” by a team working on the show, and said Ella was turned into “a monster” by production.

Yikes!
