MAFS isn’t the only time Mark’s desperately wanted love on TV, he was on First Dates too

It turns out that MAFS isn’t the first time new groom Mark Kiley has appeared on TV looking for love, as he was also on First Dates!

Yep, 36-year-old Mark was on the Channel 4 dating show back in 2017, when he was paired up with Junior from Watford, and they enjoyed a meal at the First Dates restaurant.

The couple seemed to get on during their dinner date, and even shared a kiss, but after the show Mark posted on Twitter to say they had ultimately gone “separate ways.”

Speaking to The Tab and other press ahead of MAFS, Mark spoke of his time on First Dates. He said: “My dating life is non existent so when I did First Dates a friend of mine was like ‘do it because they match you scientifically’ and I went ahead and did it. I was so drunk before the date but I could tell it was just for entertainment purposes.

“When I got chose to come on this [MAFS] I was just like ‘how can you find me someone? I’ve had every single dating app you can imagine’. With First Dates, they sort of supply you with the alcohol, and I know it was down to me to drink it or not, but they were supplying you with it and getting you hyped up to go on.”

Speaking to The Tab, Mark added that he was invited back to do a Stand Up To Cancer special of First Dates again, and he went back to the famous restaurant. Mark is now trying his luck again on Married at First Sight. He’s been partnered with Sean, and we’ll have to wait and see how they end up.

As Mark entered MAFS, he spoke of the tragedy of losing his father to suicide, which he also spoke about on his First Dates dinner.
