TikTok is obsessed with him and his ginger locks, but who is the viral star Yung Gravy?

The viral TikTok sound from Yung Gravy’s new song Betty (Get Money) has been living rent free in my mind and is a resident on my For You Page. The catchy line from his new song that has taken over the app has hundreds of thousands of videos and shows no signs of slowing down. The lyrics say: “Damn Gravy you so viscous, you so clean, so delicious. How come you ain’t got no missus? Count that paper, count them riches.” But who on earth is Yung Gravy, the rapper behind the viral song?

Matthew Raymond Hauri who is professionally known as Yung Gravy is a 26-year-old American rapper from Rochester in Minnesota. He has a degree in marketing from the University of Wisconsin but while at uni, he began to rap and make music. During his time at university, he released the song Mr. Clean which featured a sample of the classic Mr. Sandman and it became a hit. It is now certified RIAA Platinum.

His new song Betty is not the first of his that have been popular on TikTok as his song oops! was a viral sound on the app back in 2020.

How tall is Yung Gravy?

The rapper’s height is something no one is quite sure about. Some outlets have reported he is 6ft3, 6ft6 and 6ft8. However, in one of his songs Pizzazz, he raps: “Gravy 6’6, y’all a bunch of f***in’ munchkins.” Regardless, it’s safe to say he is well over six feet.

He has some *very* famous friends

On his Instagram, Yung Gravy shares pictures of him hanging out with some popular faces in Hollywood. He is friends with fellow American rappers Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X and Machine Gun Kelly. Unsurprisingly as he wrote a song about her, Yung Gravy has spent time with Martha Stewart, on more than one occasion.

Is Yung Gravy single?

The question on everybody’s minds. Despite his jokes on social media that he only days MILFs, Yung Gravy is reportedly single. There is hope for all of us yet. His past relationships, if any, have been kept under wraps and there is no information about any ex-partners of his.
