Introducing Luca: 23-year-old fishmonger on Love Island 2022 who dated Saffron Barker

I don’t mean to alarm anyone, but it’s time! Love Island is back and I’m ready to be busy and uncontactable every evening at 9pm for the foreseeable. Among the cast of Love Island 2022 is Luca, a fishmonger who definitely looks like he’s going to stir up some drama in the villa.

The 23-year-old has already said he’ll step on toes, and he has a very famous ex. Here is everything you need to know about Love Island 2022 cast member, Luca.

Love Island 2022 star Luca is 23 and from Brighton

Luca Bish is 23, from Brighton and works as a fishmonger. When asked why he wants to go on Love Island, Luca said: “When you actually look back at Love Island, you can see how many couples it’s genuinely made. Before Love Island, Luca was in a four year relationship

Luca has just come out of a four year relationship. “I came out of a four-year relationship about a year ago,” he said. “I was enjoying being in a relationship, there were just things I didn’t like and we drifted apart.” He said he has definitely had high standards in relationships in the past, so much so his friends have told him to lower them before.

Speaking of past dates, he said: “I’ve taken a girl on a private plane for a first date. She wanted flying lessons. She flew the plane and I was in the back!” Ok then!!!!

He dated Saffron Barker!!!!

It’s not clear if Saffron was the four year relationship, but it appears Luca and her used to date. The pair seem still close, Saffron wrote on the post announcing he was in the Islander lineup: “Good luck Luca ❤️.”

Somehow he knows Bianca from EastEnders, no, I’m not joking

In a weird crossover, Luca appears to know Patsy Palmer, who plays Bianca in EastEnders. Sharing a picture of him being announced as part of the Love Island lineup on her Instagram story, Patsy said: “Omg Luca all grown up and going on Love Island we cannot wait to watch you. You will smash it so beautiful, kind & funny. YAY from your Malibu crew”. She added some pink heart emojis. Malibu crew? I need answers right now!!!

Luca says he’s a bit of a clown and will bring laughs to the Love Island villa

When asked what he’s going to bring to the villa, Luca said: “A lot of laughter hopefully. I like having a bit of fun, I’m not someone who takes everything too seriously. I want to have a good time there and make sure everyone else is – you don’t want anyone sulking about. I don’t think I’m a bad looking geezer but I think it comes down to personality and who can actually hold a conversation – I think I’ll be good in the villa.”

He said his friends and family would describe him as a bit of a class clown. “I’m smart but I don’t take anything seriously,” he said.

He also sounds like he’s not going to be afraid to go after people he fancies in the villa. Luca described himself as “proper competitive”, adding: “I hate losing. I’m not a homewrecker but if it’s early doors and I like that girl then I’ll go for her.”

Right now, Luca has 11.8k followers on Instagram. It looks as though he might have cleaned up his profile before going on the show, as he only has 11 posts. They are mainly just pictures of him hanging around at home. His handle is @lucabish.
