It’s relocated! Inside the all new villa that’s been done up for Love Island 2022

The beds are facing each other this year and the neon slogan signs are BACK!

I hope you’re ready for a long and hot summer, because Love Island 2022 is here and this time the show has relocated to a whole new villa! The old villa wasn’t available for this summer’s series, but fear not because the producers have packed up the neon signs and bright coloured cushions, and found an even better pad to be home to the Islanders.

The new villa for Love Island 2022 is just 10 minutes down the road from the old one, but has been given a nice glow up to make it fresher than before. It’s further east than the previous villa, and this year’s is a six-bedroom rural home fit with everything the new Islanders could want.

The villa is bigger than ever this year, and the show has upped security after a string of attempted intrusions in past years. Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer said: “There are new security measures. We are very conscious of security and we have got a lot of things in place, plus the villa is bigger in size therefore we have more security.”

The kitchen this year is apparently bigger than ever, with an L-shaped granite island for the contestants to hang out. There are also more seating and chill-out areas for the Islanders, too. This is with the hopes that the cast members will spend as much time in their days sat around the pool and the villa talking and gossiping. Smart Love Island, smart.

Speaking of the choice to have more social and seating areas, Love Island executive producer Mike Spencer said: “It’s the first time, I think, that we’ve designed it more editorially. We know how many chat areas we need, we know you want those places you can sneak off to.”

The fire pit this year now has a runway leading up to it, you know, just to intensify the drama.

The bedroom is also larger than before, with the beds now facing one another – more like how the bedroom was set up in the first couple of seasons of the show.

And what Love Island villa is complete without a pool? This year the contestants are treated to a gorgeous infinity pool with views over the rolling hills. It’s not going to be a bad eight weeks for them, is it?

This year, one of the show’s partners is Boots – meaning the villa is stocked with an extended range of makeup, fragrance, skincare, haircare, sun care and grooming products in the dressing area.
