‘I’m in a much better place’: Shayne gives an update on life and dating since Love Is Blind

When asked if he and Natalie ‘hate each other’ now he said to ‘ask Salvador’ 👀

Love Is Blind star Shayne Jansen has given an update on his life since being on the show. He has done a question and answer session with followers on his Instagram, who asked him burning questions about his experiences on the show and how he feels about what happened now.

Shayne was engaged to Natalie Lee on the show, but she said no when they made it to the altar. It was revealed on the show they had a huge argument the night before the wedding, but it was later said in the reunion episode they had tried to make it work after the show aired, but are now both single.

Last night, Shayne did a Q&A with his followers, which began with him saying he’s been “silent for too long” and asked his followers to ask him anything. One of the first questions he was asked was if he and Natalie “hate each other now” to which he said to ask fellow Love Is Blind cast member, Salvador Perez. Rumours have been circulating that Sal and Natalie might be seeing one another after they posted a photo together, but neither of them have confirmed or denied anything yet. Shayne was also asked about his own love life, to which he said to “stay tuned” with the eyes emoji, hinting he may be seeing someone now.

When asked about his biggest learning lesson from the show, Shayne spoke about now being able to control his emotions in certain situations. “Learning to control my reactive emotions,” he said. “I preach empathy all the time and it’s time I hold myself accountable as well. Also, I need to learn to shut my mouth and listen, I’m working on it.”

Another follower asked Shayne, if he could do it all again on Love Is Blind, would he chose the same experience again? Shayne replied: “Yes because I can honestly say I was very transparent and 100 per cent myself. We need more of that in this world. What you see is what you get with me and I learned so much.” He said that his biggest mistake on the show was “not listening and putting Nat’s feelings first during our pod argument” but said he wouldn’t call it a regret, as he believes a person learns most when they recognise things like this that happen.

Later he spoke about his father passing away before the show was filmed, saying he died just three months before the series. “It affected both my physical and mental health but I’m in a much better place,” he said.

Summarising his experience, Shayne said that watching himself back on the show was really cringy, and like “listing to your own voicemail times infinity” and ofc, he had to get one last shade throw at Shake in there. When asked about all the drama going on with Shake at the moment, Shayne simply said: “A lion does not concern himself with the opinion of a sheep.”
