It’s been far too long since Love Island left our screens and I for one cannot wait to get back to watching all the antics the villa has to offer. Unsurprisingly, an absolutely top-class cast will be jetting off to Mallorca for the latest season of the show. Hailing from Northumberland, 26-year-old labourer Brad McClelland is sure to be one of the stars of Love Island 2021.

Brad sees himself as a bit of a nana’s boy and says he hasn’t had sex since the end of 2019. I wonder how this reputation’s going to hold up when he sets foot inside the villa?

He lives with his nana

Brad seems like a pretty wholesome fella. He lives with his nana and their dog and enjoys simple pleasures like drinking coffee and going to the gym. He’s also a proud uncle.

Brad thinks people assume he’s arrogant because of the way he looks, while according to him, he’s “honest”, a “good laugh” and a “genuine nice lad.”

At work, Brad doesn’t have a reputation for being the hardest of workers. “I try and make as much money as I can by doing as little as possible,” Brad said.

Sounds like the villa might be the perfect place for Brad to be this summer.

In his spare time he plays for local football team Alnwick Town AFC and loves a night out on the town with the lads.

He’s been single for two years, although we’re not sure why

Brad was in a long-term relationship which ended two years ago and since then, he claims he hasn’t had much attention from the ladies.

“Sometimes lasses will turn their head when I walk in, but it doesn’t happen often,” Brad said. “People probably think I’m a top shagger but obviously, I’m f****** far from it.”

Brad claims he hasn’t had sex since 2019 but I’m having none of it.

He’s already got nearly 30k likes on Instagram

At the time of writing, Brad’s already got 29.5k likes on Instagram, although this is likely to sky-rocket as the show goes on.

Brad mostly posts pictures from nights out and gym selfies, with a few travelling snaps dotted here and there. He also loves a bit of a hike.

What’s his type on paper?

Brad’s looking forwarded meeting new people, and says his type is “someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously.” He adds: “I could not be with someone that’s constantly on your case.

“I’d say I like dark hair, dark skin, dark eyes. But then my ex-girlfriend who I was with for over eight years was fair skinned, blue eyes, blonde hair.”

Brad describes his perfect girl as somewhere between Sommer Ray and Megan Fox and admits that ex-islander Zara McDermott is a “good-looking lass.”

2019 winner Amber Gill commented on one of his Instagram’s: “He’s beaut.” Kady McDermott from season two also got involved, saying, “Hello” with a heart emoji.

Something tells me this is a sign of things to come and that Brad will be a massive hit on the show.
