Meet Toby Aromolaran: The footballer and feet-lover joining Love Island 2021

‘I appreciate a girl’s feet’

Love Island 2021 is officially here, bringing with it a whole new load of singles hoping to crack on in the villa. One of this year’s stars is 22-year-old Toby Aromolaran, a semi-professional footballer who hails from Essex and has a thing for feet. You heard me.

Toby said: “I always see the bright side in the worst situations. I’m a fun guy when I go on a night out. Responsible guy as well.”

Toby, who has 18.5k Instagram followers, will be joining an international rugby player, a Nando’s waitress and a fair few influencers in the villa.

Here’s everything we know about Toby Aromolaran:

Football career

Toby’s been obsessed with football since he was six years old, currently playing for for Hashtag United, a semi-professional football club founded by YouTuber Spencer Owen.

Spencer used his social media presence to grow the fanbase of the club whose YouTube channel now has more followers than Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.

One downside of Toby’s football career has been that girls tend to dismiss him as a “typical footballer.” Toby hates this reputation and claims he’s actually a “nice guy.”

Commitment issues?

Toby has never had a relationship, saying, “Casual sex can only take you so far, until the girl starts getting drawn to you and now she wants to take it to the next step and I’m not on that. I don’t want to take it to the next step.”

“If we’re really looking into it, I might have some commitment issues.”

Former Love Islander Anna Vakili has already given her damning verdict on Toby, writing in the Daily Star: “He is giving major fuckboy vibes.”

But according to Toby, he is looking to settle down. “If Love Island can’t find me a relationship then no one can,” he said.

He’s not afraid to step on anyone’s toes

Toby takes a “laid-back” approach when it comes to pulling girls, telling the Daily Star: “If she really likes you she will gravitate towards you at the end of the day.”

He also added that when push comes to shove, he wouldn’t be afraid to step on anyone’s toes. “I’m not scared, I’m not scared no. What’s there to be scared about, you know? You’ve got to live your life,” Toby said.

What’s his type?

Toby’s looking for a “loyal” and “independent” girl in the villa. “I like a pretty face,” Toby told The Sun. “Everyone loves a pretty face and another thing for me, I appreciate a girl’s feet.

“I don’t have a foot fetish but I appreciate their feet. I think you can tell a lot about a girl by their feet. For a footballer my feet are quite nice. I was thinking about getting them out on camera.”

Okay, Toby.
