Meet all the rumoured Love Island 2021 contestants so far
Not long after it was confirmed that planning for Love Island 2021 is full steam ahead, we have a bunch of rumoured contestants for the villa.
The crew will be heading out to Majorca in early June, to start filming the eight week show. Laura Whitmore is back, and this year the casting team is reportedly looking for a whole range of Islanders including brainy key workers, more diversity and LGBTQ+ cast members for the first time ever.
Meet the first rumoured Love Island 2021 contestants here, and try not to get too excited.
First up is James Price, a 23-year-old “Chelsea party boy”. He’s originally from Worcester, and according to the MailOnline previously “grew close” to former Love Islander Lucie Donlan.
A TV insider told MailOnline that James has a thing for blondes and hopes to bring the “Worcestershire Sauce” to the villa this summer. They said: “James is in final talks with producers and they’re really keen on signing him this year. He’s cheeky, fun and handsome – and will be a sure-fire hit with the female contestants, while he’s also on the lookout for his dream girl.
“Lucie Donlan is his type on paper. They grew close in Newquay the summer before she went on the show but their flirtation didn’t grow into a relationship. While James is from Worcester, his group of friends reside in Fulham and he spent a lot of time before the pandemic partying in Chelsea.”
The first girl rumoured to be a Love Island 2021 contestant is fire-eater and aerial dancer Alexis Bailey. 21-year-old Alexis is a Miss Manchester runner-up and has reportedly just left a long-term relationship, but is looking for love on the show. She also previously worked with Wayne Lineker in Ibiza.
A source told the Sun: “She loves sex and is always talking about it. She’s very open about it but is incredibly likeable and loves to party. There are no limits as far as she is concerned and she very much wears her heart on her sleeve. It’s fair to say she will bring some heat to the villa.”
Also a Love Island 2021 rumoured contestant is 24-year-old pro-boxer Harley Benn. He’s reportedly the “secret son” of boxing legend Nigel Benn.
A Love Island source told the Sun: “Harley’s already got a huge following and gets loads of attention from the girls. He’s had video meetings with the casting team and everyone is very excited at the prospect of having him on the show.”
Aimee-Rose Frances is a graduate from King’s and an influencer. A source told The Sun: “Producers are nearly there with their cast and Aimee is top of their list. She’s incredibly well-educated, has bags of personality and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. She could have walked straight off reality show Made In Chelsea. Bosses think she’ll be a great addition.”
Her Insta page is full of her in fancy places around Chelsea and the rest of London, and she has 85k followers. She studied Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at King’s College London, graduating with a 2:1 in 2014 and now owns her own jewellery brand.
21-year-old Zack Chugg is currently in his second year studying dentistry at Leeds, and also runs fitness pages on Instagram. On his social media profiles he says he is a fitness model and personal trainer too. He posts loads of pictures promoting fitness, lifestyle choices and a whole lotta pics in his Leeds uni dental scrubs.
Zack, who is originally from Solihull, confirmed to the Yorkshire Evening Post that he will be a contestant on Love Island 2021, after having confirmation talks with ITV. He claims the producers were “amazed” by what he does.
“I released a post about men’s skincare routines and then got a direct message on Instagram from an ITV casting agent. I think they are really fascinated by what I do and I don’t know if they’ve met someone who does the sort of thing that I do yet,” he said.
Finally, rounding off the Love Island 2021 rumoured contestants so far is junior doctor and model, Toluwa Adepeju. An ITV source told The Sun Toluwa is the next contestant lined up for the upcoming series of Love Island in June and he’s been described as the “perfect pick”.
They said: “He’s led from the very front – in hospital and online, educating people of the risks and the need to get vaccinated. He is a perfect pick. He’s modest, down to earth and loves what he does.”
Toluwa is currently working as a junior doctor and has done a number of ads on his Instagram to encourage uni students to self isolate. He’s recently graduated with a Masters from University of Manchester and previously went to Leeds Uni. Not only is Toluwa a doctor, but he’s also a model, having appeared in a shoot for a wedding magazine.
Previously, Love Island producers are said to have been looking for key workers to cast for this season.
A spokesperson for Love Island has said that no final decisions for the new series cast members have been made yet. Love Island 2021 will air on ITV2 in June. For all the latest Love Island gossip, news, rumours and memes, make sure you like The Holy Church of Love Island on Facebook.
