how to get old instagram icon

This is how to get the original Polaroid Instagram icon back on your phone

Take me back to 2010

Remember the good old days when your Instagram icon was that little beige Polaroid camera with the rainbow stripe? Well now you can get it back on your iPhone and this is exactly how to change your Instagram icon.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Instagram has added a load of Easter Eggs to the app, including the icon change. Not only can you get the original icon but you can also get a gold icon, black icon and a pride icon that’s in rainbow stripes.

It even includes the icon Instagram used before it was launched that features a red stripe and the words “code name”.

In order to change your Instagram icon to the original these are steps you need to take:

1. Go onto Instagram

2. Go to “Settings”

3. Do a long swipe down on the settings and a bunch of emojis should appear

4. Select the new icon you want

In order to select your new icon you must have downloaded the latest version of the app and it’s available on iPhone and Android.

The Easter Eggs also feature a way to look at your stories on a map from the last few years. So basically you can see how many times you uploaded drunken videos from the same shitty nightclub. As if I needed any more reminders.
