Zara McDermott has finally admitted to cheating on Sam Thompson in new Insta post
‘I made a huge mistake’
Lydia VennLove Island’s Zara McDermott has admitted to cheating on Sam Thompson in a note posted to her Instagram last night.
In the Instagram story Zara said she had a made a huge mistake last year and that she doesn’t condone cheating.
She wrote: “Hey Everyone. I just wanted to address the recent speculation in the media. A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on.
“I don’t condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature.”

Zara also wrote an apology to Sam for what she put him through and said how much she loved him.
She wrote: “I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake. I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarrassment, the anger and the hurt.
“All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you. I love you Sam. Forever x.”
Sam and Zara broke up last month after Sam allegedly discovered Zara had cheated on him last year with “someone in the music industry” around the time Zara was competing on The X Factor: Celebrity.

Sam hasn’t commented on Zara’s admission but was posting on his Instagram story last night around the same time Zara shared her apology. He was posting pictures and videos from his dinner with friends, including JP from Made in Chelsea.
Zara and Sam are currently staring in the twentieth series of Made in Chelsea, which began filming before the cheating allegations came out. However the show is expected to cover the breakup.
