Last night we saw Ollie Williams dramatically quit the Love Island villa after just three days. He said he was still in love with his ex, but of course Twitter didn’t believe a word of it. The memes about Ollie leaving the villa came flocking in, and they are art.

He said: “I have to be honest with myself, and everyone, that I do still love someone else. I have to follow my heart in this scenario and it would be wrong for me to ignore these feelings. At the end of the day, this is Love Island and it’s about finding love. If I carried on anything with Paige, or any other girl that might come into the villa, it wouldn’t be fair on them.”

But Twitter had other thoughts, even claiming his entire exit was staged and his one true love was trophy hunting – after pictures emerged of him last weekend. Either way, the memes are golden. Here are the best.
