Disney World actors share the most jarring and ‘creepy’ things adult visitors said to them
‘She started writing them love letters’
After a “Peter Pan girl” went viral for her behaviour towards an actor portraying Peter Pan at Disneyland, TikTok is full of discussions about how visitors treat performers. Former Disneyland and Disney World character actors are spilling about the most jarring things that the public have said to them.
‘The father … asks if I’m into bestiality’
A former actor from the Florida park described this job for Huffpost. Michelle Brianna played various characters over three years. She wrote that on her first day performing as Belle: “I wasn’t prepared to do a thousand squats today, nor was I ready for the oblivious mother who plops her baby onto my lap despite the full diaper leaking brown sludge from the sides, who then insists on taking photo after photo.
“And I am certainly not ready for the father who leans in and asks if I’m into bestiality.”
‘Married men hand me keys to their hotel room’
Sarah Daniels began playing characters at Disney World in her teens (and she’s now a pilot, which is such a plot twist). She detailed her experiences of Disney in a series of TikTok videos. Sarah said: “I feel like, if dudes are going to be creeps and hit on you, they’re going to hit on you whether you’re a character or not. But there were many moments, especially as Tinker Bell, where I had men – married men – hand me keys to their hotel room and tell me where they were staying.”

In another video, she explained that when actors had “an issue”, they would “divert the attention to the character attendant and they will take care of the creepy dads for you”.
‘I had people that learned my schedule’
Andrey Lull used to play Peter Pan at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. He told Entertainment Today that during his training for the job, he was briefed on how some visitors can behave. He said: “I had people that learned my schedule. They would just show up, and they would be like the first one in for every single one of my sets. But after a while, you learn how to deal with them.”
‘She started writing them love letters’
Jennifer Herbert, another ex-character performer, recalled in a TikTok some of the strangest behaviour she witnessed.
Jennifer claims that one visitor fixated on particular characters including Luke Skywalker, Peter Pan and Troy from High School Musical. “She would sit on the parade route for Disney Stars and Motor Cars, always in the same spot, right at the end of the parade, and if she didn’t like you as a character performer, she would tell you, ‘I don’t like you.'”

According to Jennifer, this woman figured out actors’ schedules so she could find them walking across the park out of their costumes. She also “started writing them love letters”.
