Love Island’s Lorenzo bitterly called out for ‘disrespectful’ interaction with another girl

Lorenzo from Love Island is getting absolutely slated online for letting a random woman get on his shoulders during a recent event, and people are really feeling for Julia. 

The 2026 winner went to a rave at London’s Old Royal Naval College over the weekend, without Julia, and was filmed dancing in the crowd with a random girl on his shoulders. One of her friends shared the video on her Instagram story, which shows Lorenzo holding onto her legs as she dances and screams, with her arms up in the air.

The girl has insisted the whole interaction was friendly, writing in a TikTok comment: “Hey guys so this is me, it was seriously just friendly. Nothing went on with me and him he was just dancing with us.”

However, people are calling Lorenzo out online and saying the whole thing was really disrespectful towards Julia. They’re still not official, but are “exclusively dating,” as Lorenzo put it in the Love Island villa. 

One person wrote on Twitter: “You’re ‘exclusively dating’ and prioritising partying and letting a random girl on your shoulders! Julia girl, we’ll support you regardless if you leave him.”

“This is so disrespectful,” someone else said. A third person added: “He does not respect Julia at all. Why is he constantly embarrassing her?” Others think it was a harmless interaction.

The Islander has said on numerous occasions that he’s never had a girlfriend before, and claimed he is “still learning” how to be in a committed relationship. But people think this should just be common sense. 

After the backlash online, Lorenzo posted a very loved-up dump of him and Julia together, confirming they are very much still together. He shared photos and videos of them together at Keinemusik’s event in Finsbury Park last week and wrote in the caption: “Dating 101: backstage at Keinemusik.”
