Love Island’s Grace massively called out for ‘hypocritical’ vlog given controversial friendship

Love Island 2024 and Love Island All Stars Islander Grace Jackson is being called out over her recent vlog. Since leaving the villa, Grace has become a fully-fledged influencer, and now shares chatty vlogs, as well as a female-focused podcast called Give Yourself Grace.

When Grace first launched Give Yourself Grace, which markets itself as “a safe space for girly chats”, she was met with a lot of backlash. People called her out as “hypocritical” for claiming to provide a “safe space” for women.

That was due to her connections to Conor McGregor. Grace and her Love Island boyfriend Luca attended the wedding of McGregor, and are often pictured hanging out with him. “Girly chats but friends with a boxer who r*ped a woman,” someone posted on the Instagram post where Grace shared the podcast.

In July 2025, Conor McGregor lost his civil jury appeal against a finding that he s*xually assaulted a woman. He was previously ordered to pay £206k in damages plus costs to Nikita Hand, who accused him of r*ping her in a hotel in Dublin in 2018.

And now, as Grace has posted another vlog on YouTube, people have been commenting once again. Grace shared a “spend 48 hours with me” video on YouTube, and a TikToker reposted it, to say she had been influenced by what Grace had been talking about.

However, the comments were then flooded with the same thing. “I just can’t feel the same about Grace since she associates with Conor McGregor. Honestly expected better,” one said. Another added: “I personally wouldn’t feel motivated by someone who went to Conor McGregor’s wedding. That’s just me, I guess.” A third said: “She supports Conor McGregor, are you de-influenced now?”

At the time of Conor McGregor’s wedding, pictures of Grace and Luca at the event were shared across Reddit and TikTok, with people posting their opinions. “Not only did they attend the wedding, but they also attended some small gatherings of Conor’s closest friends,” one person on Reddit said. “I’m disgusted to be honest.” Someone else said: “Gross. Both of them.”

Grace and Luca have previously made it no secret they have a friendship with Conor McGregor. They have been friends for years, with them constantly getting pictured together. In 2023, Luca was pictured next to a private jet with Conor, ready to be flown out to see one of his fights.

Speaking to talkSPORT about the unlikely friendship, Luca said: “I mix with a lot of pro boxers. It’s an unlikely match, isn’t it? Yeah, it’s a random pairing and I think it shocked a lot of people when they see we are friends.”

It would seem Grace has a personal connection to Conor as well, that isn’t just from Luca. Pictures of her hanging out with Conor resurfaced when she was on All Stars, from way before she started dating Luca. When Grace was originally on Love Island, Conor even shared a supportive message calling for his followers to vote for her.
