Hayden Panettiere’s final Instagram post before her death aged 36 is so heartbreaking
Police said there are no ‘signs of foul play’
Following the tragic news of Hayden Panettiere’s death at the age of just 36, people are heartbroken over her final Instagram post, shared just three weeks ago.
The actress died at a home in South Carolina, the Greenville Police Department said in a statement to NBC News. Officers responded to a report of an” unresponsive female” at around 1.50pm on Sunday.
“Upon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” authorities said. “The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. An acquaintance of Ms Panettiere placed the 911 call.”
Just three weeks before her death, the 36-year-old shared a heartwrenching post about being happy and having fun with friends. She shared a picture of herself smiling with her director, podcaster and photographer friend Randall Slavin and wrote in the caption: “Good times and good friends.”
Following the tragic news, he has shared the picture on his Instagram story with the caption: “Peace be with you, H.”

The comments section of the post is being flooded with touching tributes to the actress, known for the TV shows Nashville and Heroes. It’s the second tragic loss her family has faced after her brother died at just 28 years old three years ago, from an undiagnosed heart condition.
“So devastated. I remember as a kid how much you captivated my screen, from Bring It On to Ice Princess always one of my faves. So sad to see that you’re no longer with us,” one person wrote.
Another said: “This makes me sooo sad she was in so many of my favourite things growing up I always thought she was soooo pretty and Bring It On: All or Nothing was such a big part of my childhood. This feels like … Personal.”
“She raised so many of us and didn’t even know it entirely. I hope she’s at peace, she deserved so much better from this world. Heartbroken doesn’t even begin to describe this feeling of losing someone you didn’t even know personally, but it’s there,” a third person added.
