Imperial College London to host interactive mural project
The university is calling on locals to put their stamp on the campus
Imperial College London announced it will host an interactive mural project at its White City campus.
Happening at the start of November, the university will display the completed artwork on a wall outside Stadium House.
Calling on contributors of all backgrounds to celebrate the diversity of White City’s people and places, the project will culminate in an inspiring mural reflecting the lives of the people who live, work and study there.

Stadium House, located on Wood Lane, intersects the university and the local areas of White City.
The culminating piece eventually aims to answer the question: “What makes White City special?”
Visual artists AYLO and SECA (known offstage as Hayley and Christian) will spearhead the project.

Known for their large scale public murals, their artworks were previously exhibited across the UK, often integrating social issues and embracing small scale local communities.
The artistic duo will host a series of in-person workshops scheduled for 5th and 6th November 2025.
Here, the participants will sketch their ideas for how to capture White City’s DNA in one artwork. Afterwards, visitors have the opportunity to discuss their connections to White City’s history and heritage.
Following this, on Saturday 15th November, families participating in Imperial’s Discovery Day event will be able to talk through the mural.

Imperial explained its aims to use public artworks to strengthen its ties to the culture of the area’s community. By allowing locals to contribute, they intend to create an “accessible” and “thought-provoking” environment.
Several initial workshops took place earlier this summer, specifically intended to give young people a chance to take part.
“We’re excited to be delivering the first public art pilot for the White City Campus”, stated Lara Misty, Imperial’s Head of Public Engagement Programmes.
She then added: “The mural project builds on a wider programme of work we’re already doing with the local community, from women’s change initiatives to STEMB holiday programmes for families and much more.”
Those interested in participating can register for free via EventBrite. Further updates on the project can be found on the Stadium House Mural’s official website.
