Dave reveals the MAFS Australia bride he wishes he was matched with, and gushes about her

After things turned sour with Jamie on MAFS Australia, Dave has revealed which bride he wishes he’d been matched with by the experts instead, and I actually kinda ship them.

The experiment couldn’t have started out better for Dave and Jamie, who were once one of the strongest couples, but things quickly fizzled out between them after he awkwardly admitted he didn’t actually like her that much.

Perhaps things would have worked out better for the tattooed builder if he’d said “I do” to one of the other brides instead. Dave actually thinks Awhina would have been the perfect match for him!

On TikTok, a follower asked “Who do you think you would have been matched better with out of all the brides?” and he replied: “I would have to say Fifi, Awhina.” That’s the nickname everyone called her.

“Her caring nature, her gentle soul, she’s the GOAT [greatest of all time]. Love Fifi,” he then gushed. “I tried my best to look after her in there [the experiment] and every time I saw her, I gave her a big hug. I have lots of respect for her.”

Dave revealed that he hasn’t stayed in contact with Awhina after the experiment but hopes she’s doing alright, before calling her a “cool chick”. Could Dave and Awhina have had a happy future together? It’s not too late, I guess!

Funnily enough, Adrian also revealed which MAFS Australia woman he wishes he’d been matched with last week after a very turbulent marriage to Awhina, and it was his backup bride Maxine.
