Police in Sheffield search for serial flasher after incident near Ranmoor
South Yorkshire Police believe the suspect has been behind a spree of similar incidents
Police in Sheffield are appealing for witnesses after a man exposed himself to a 19-year-old woman on Shore Lane, close to Ranmoor student village.
The incident took place at 5pm on last Sunday [26th January], and according to police, the suspect fled towards Fulwood Road.
The man, believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s, was wearing a black Adidas tracksuit, is said to be around 5ft 8in, and of large build with grey hair.
South Yorkshire Police believes that the individual may be responsible for a number of similar offences in the area, and officers are working to identify him.
A spokesperson for the University of Sheffield said: “We are aware of the incident on Shore Lane and encourage anyone with information to respond to the police appeal.
“Our security service is available 24/7 and patrols our campus and residences, working closely with South Yorkshire Police.
