The first rumoured Love Island 2022 contestant is here and she has a footballer ex

Sophie Draper is 22 and is ‘in talks’ with the show

Love Island bosses are reportedly “in talks” with people who they want to sign up for the 2022 series of the show, and the first rumoured contestant is called Sophie Draper.

Sophie is 22 and a beautician from Nottingham. You might recognise her ex-boyfriend, as Sophie used to date Premiership footballer Matty Cash. The pair dated for four years but split last year. According to the Sun, she’s been “lined-up” for the next series of the show and Love Island chiefs think she is the “perfect fit” after meeting with her about being part of the cast.

A TV source told the Sun: “Sophie is a gorgeous girl who is really driven and determined to succeed. She has her own beauty salon and already leads a jet set lifestyle, which she likes showing off on Instagram, so she wouldn’t be fazed by being on TV. Love Island bosses think she could be a good fit for the show, it’s early days still but she definitely has potential. Matty will be pretty shocked to see her looking for love on TV, but he publicly moved on pretty quickly.”

Sophie owns her own beauty company and salon in Nottingham, and already has 19.4k Instagram followers. She’s reportedly mates with Lucinda Strafford from Love Island 2021 as well as some of the TOWIE cast. Her ex Matty went on to briefly date Love Island 2016’s Kady McDermott after their split.

Sophie Draper definitely does look the fit for Love Island 2022, as her Instagram is filled with pictures of her on nights out and on holidays, including a recent trip to Dubai. Watch this space!
