Car Accident Hit and Run Lenton

The 19 year old is in a critical condition.

A brutal hit-and-run accident on Derby Road at around 2.30am last Thursday has left a 19-year-old girl in a serious condition.

Police are after the driver of a dark-coloured car that didn’t wait at the scene.

Daniel Falvey, 20, of Seely Road told thisisnottingham.co.uk that he saw a police car when he got home from a night out in town at around 3am.

The sound of sirens and flashing lights woke up another Nottingham Uni student, who lives near the junction of Seely Road. She added: “This is horrible. I’m shocked. I hope she will be ok.
“I can’t believe what’s happened and that someone would just leave somebody else in the street. This is absolutely horrible.”

Claudia Turnbull, 19, of Lenton Boulevard said “It’s terrible. Traffic is so bad around here sometimes.”

The driver of the car drove off in the direction of Canning Circus.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Detective Inspector Ged Hazelwood on 101, extension 800 2245, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
