Star Wars: Skywalker brings in the big guns for VP Sport bid
Eamonn Holmes loves Luke, apparently
George HonesPro rugby players, sports broadcasters and the mighty Eamonn Holmes have thrown their support behind Luke Thomson’s Star Wars themed bid for VP Sport.
Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy, talkSPORT funsters, start the video off, before various Saracen FC players, such as Maro Itoje and Charlie Hodgson, show their support.
Even This Morning and Sky News broadcaster Eamonn Holmes endorsed Luke’s bid for VP Sport.
Holmes was joined by former Loughborough football captain and current Barnsley FC full-back George Williams.
The vid also features England Rugby star Joe Launchbury.
Speaking to The Epinal, Luke discussed the efforts to get the video and what he hopes it achieves for his campaign.
Luke said: “It was a big team effort. I lived with Joe Launchbury for 5 years whilst we were at school. talkSPORT presenter Andy Goldstein is my second cousin’s wife’s sister’s husband.
“My proposer, Jeremy Itoje, is the brother of Maro who plays for the Saracens. I hope the video shows the big team effort for my campaign this year; we’ve all been working hard. And there’s more to come.”
This evening fellow VP Sport candidate Tom Haslam released a video of England rugby players Jonathon Joseph and Alex Goode supporting his bid. But is it possible to top the beautiful and elegant Eamonn Holmes? We’ll have to wait and see.
