Edinburgh BNOC of the Year winner revealed

Connor Smith wins after a tight vote

Connor Smith has unexpectedly stormed to the 2015/16 Edinburgh BNOC of the Year title.

He received 2,980 votes, just over 46% of the vote, beating second place Flynn Le Blocq by just over 200 votes with Pedro Leandro finishing in a distant third.

The second year Engineering student has made a name for himself by being one of the most recognisable faces in Edinburgh’s clubbing scene as well as being the founder of BevEng, the society for all engineers to get together and ‘get bevved’.

When asked how he felt about his win, he simply replied: “I feel decent.”

His appeal reached far wider than just his fellow engineers however, with Connor actually receiving more votes what next year’s EUSA President Alec Edgecliffe-Johnson got in the EUSA Presidential elections.
