Here’s everything Taylor Swift’s friends have said about her relationship with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been in a relationship for at least two months, and during that time he’s had to face the approval of her tight-knit group of friends. Travis can take heart in the fact that it doesn’t matter whether you’re dating one of the biggest musicians in the world, you still need to get the all-clear from the girls.

Taylor’s friendship group has some pretty big names in it, from Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez to Cara Delevingne. Let’s see what they and the rest of Taylor’s friends all think about the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid and Taylor were first seen together in 2014 at an Oscar’s afterparty where it’s thought they first struck up their friendship. In June 2015, Taylor brought Gigi out at her ‘Reputation’ concert in London, along with her other showbiz pals Martha Hunt, Kendall Jenner, Serena Williams, Karlie Kloss and Cara Delevingne. What a lineup.

She recently hit back at speculation that she doesn’t approve of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance.  Her remarks came in the comments of Perez Hilton’s Instagram post, which claimed that Gigi “doesn’t agree with the way” that Taylor was “handling” her romance with Travis.

In her reply, Hadid shut down the press claims, while clarifying that she’s happy for Taylor, saying: “We are all over the moon for our girl. Period.”

Cara Delevingne

Cara Delevingne and Taylor became friends after the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Show, which Taylor performed in and Cara modelled in. Cara and Taylor were frequently seen together in New York and Cara played a prominent role in Taylor’s Bad Blood music video.

Fans thought the both of them had fallen out in 2017 when Cara wasn’t name-checked on Taylor’s squash shirt in the Look What You Made Me Do music video. But then in 2019 Cara posted on Instagram to congratulate Taylor on the release of her Lover album.

Cara was also featured in the 2020 issue of Variety, with Taylor sending an email to them for the cover story saying “Cara is extreme, eccentric, hilarious, loving and deeply loyal.”

As for Cara’s thoughts on Taylor’s relationship with Travis? She couldn’t be more positive and said: “I’m so, so happy for her. There’s definitely something different about them. I’m always rooting for my girl!”

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift have one of the longest celebrity friendships after meeting when Taylor was dating Joe Jonas and Selena was in an on and off again relationship with his brother Nick.

During a 2009 interview, Selena was asked if she has a specific friend she goes to when it comes to love advice Selena replied “Every single problem I ever have is healable by Taylor Swift! If I ever have an issue, Taylor has gone through it, because she’s older than me, and she gives the most thought-out answers, and what I love about Taylor is that she does believe in the whole love story and Prince Charming and soul mates. Because of her, I haven’t lost faith.”

A source recently shared that Selena thinks Taylor and Travis’ relationship is the “real deal.” The source said: “Selena thinks this relationship is the real deal for Taylor. She is a big supporter of her and Travis. Selena and Gigi see how respectful Travis is of Taylor and that he treats her like a queen. They are happy for both of them.

“So far Travis has proven to be caring, honest, and thoughtful. He’s a good listener and communicator, takes her feelings into consideration, puts his family first, and also respects her passion for what she does.

“The feelings between them are very mutual. They share a connection and understanding of each other personally and professionally, which makes things work well.”

Taylor Lautner

Fans would know that Taylor Lautner has previously dated Taylor Swift for a brief period in 2009. However, he’s been termed the “best ex” since he’s possibly her only past relationship that the Back To December single has never dissed.

Talking about her relationship with Travis Kelce, Lautner told Extra that he’s “excited” for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce and that “They seem like they’re incredibly happy,” what a great friend!

Antoni Porowski

Queer Eye cast member Antoni Porowski said he couldn’t be happier for Taylor after the two starred in her You music video together, and their friendship blossomed from there. In an interview with People, he added, “My hopes for them as a couple are that they just continue to be really happy and to enjoy this moment and all the future moments to come.”
