The England World Cup 2022 squad has 26 of the most skilled footballers in the country, ready to bring football home once and for all. While a lot of these footballers have been in the game for a while, there are a fair few who have only just become adults and will make you wonder what you’re doing with your life.

There has been a wave of controversy surround the World Cup being in Qatar this year, with many people boycotting this year’s games due to the human rights issues in the host country. Many football fans have decided to boycott the games due to corruption allegations, poor working conditions, the treatment of women as well as it being unsafe to be LGBTQ+ in Qatar.

The England World Cup 2022 squad are a range of different ages, with some of them being as young as 19 years old. These are the ages of the England World Cup 2022 squad:

Jordan Pickford – 28

Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford is 28 years old. Pickford’s debut for the Three Lions was in November 2017 during a friendly match against Germany at Wembley Stadium. In 2018, Pickford made his mark during the World Cup in Russia.

Nick Pope – 30

Nick Pope is 30 years old, and alongside the England squad he also plays for Newcastle United. Pope made his England debut as a second-half substitute against Costa Rica in June 2018. He also joined the Three Lions at the 2018 World Cup.

Aaron Ramsdale – 24

Arsenal goalie Aaron Ramsdale is 24 years old. Aaron was initially left out of the Euro 2020, but was later called into the squad after Dean Henderson suffered an injury.

Trent Alexander-Arnold – 24

Liverpool FC star Trent Alexander-Arnold is the same age as Aaron Ramsdale, at 24 years old. The Liverpudlian was called up to play for England in the 2018 World Cup and also became a regular starter during the Euros in 2020.

Conor Coady – 29

Conor Coady is 29 years old and became a key part of the Three Lions squad during the 2020 Euros.

Eric Dier – 28

Tottenham Hotspur player Eric Dier is 28 years old. Dier was part of the England squad at the 2016 Euros and 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Harry Maguire – 29

Harry Maguire is 29 years old. The Manchester United centre back made his England debut in 2017. Harry and his wife Fern tied the knot in June 2022.

Luke Shaw – 27

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is 27 years old. Luke Shaw made his debut when he was only 19 years old in 2014 at the World Cup in Brazil.

John Stones – 28

John Stones is 28 years old and made his England debut in 2014.

Kieran Trippier – 32

Kieran Trippier is one of the oldest players part of the England squad at 32 years old. The Newcastle United footballer made his Three Lions debut in 2017.

Kyle Walker – 32

Kyle Walker is the same age as his teammate Kieran Trippier, at 32 years old. Walker made his England debut in 2011 against Spain and has been a squad regular ever since.

Ben White – 25

Ben White is 25 years old and currently plays for Arsenal. White made his England debut in 2021 during the Euros.

Jude Bellingham – 19

Midfielder Jude Bellingham is the youngest players part of the Three Lions squad at 19 years old. Bellingham made his debut in 2020 at just 17 years old. He became one of the youngest Englishman to play at any major tournament.

Conor Gallagher – 22

Midfielder Conor Gallagher is 22 years old. He made his debut for the Three Lions in November 2021.

Jordan Henderson – 32

Along with Kieran Trippier, Jordan Henderson is 32 years old. The Liverpool FC footballer made his England debut in 2010 at just 20 years old.

Mason Mount – 23

Mason Mount is 23 years old and is one of the England World Cup squad members who is single. Mount made his debut for the England squad in 2019.

Kalvin Phillips – 27

Leeds native Kalvin Phillips is 27 years old. The midfielder started all seven Euro 2020 matches and only missed out on 25 minutes of the whole tournament.

Declan Rice – 23

Declan Rice is the same age as his best mate Mason Mount, at 23 years old. The West Ham United player made his Three Lions debut in March 2019.

Phil Foden – 22

If you said you were going to dye your hair like Phil Foden during the Euros, keep your blonde hair dye at the ready because football could be coming home at the World Cup. Phil Foden is 22 years old.

Jack Grealish – 27

Starboy Jack Grealish is 27 years old and won the hearts of the nation in 2020, especially for his calves.

Harry Kane – 29

Captain Harry Kane is 29 years old. The Tottenham Hotspur player made his England debut back in 2015.

James Maddison – 26

Leicester City attacking midfielder James Maddison is 26 years old. Maddison and his girlfriend Kennedy Alexa welcomed their first child in 2021.

Marcus Rashford – 25

Marcus Rashford is 25 years old, the same age as a lot of his fellow players including James Maddison and Ben White.

Bukayo Saka – 21

Bukayo Saka is the second youngest player part of the England World Cup 2022 squad at 21 years old. He made his England debut back in October 2020.

Raheem Sterling – 28

Chelsea attacking midfielder Raheem Sterling is 28 years old. Sterling made his debut all the way back in 2012 and has become an England regular ever since.

Callum Wilson – 30

Callum Wilson is 30 years old and made his Three Lions debut back in 2018. He currently also plays for Newcastle United.
