The fifth installment of the Netflix royal drama has had an influx of new actors taking on the roles of some of the most famous people in the world. No one can tell me that Elizabeth Debicki isn’t a spitting image of Princess Diana, and that’s final. Here is what the cast of season five of The Crown look like in the show, compared to the real life people they portray:

Queen Elizabeth II

In season five of The Crown, Queen Elizabeth II is played by Imelda Staunton. The latest season covers a turbulent time for the royals, the 1990s. Imelda Staunton is currently 66 years old and during the 1990s, Queen Elizabeth would have been in her 60s.

Prince Philip

Jonathan Pryce takes on the role of the Duke of Edinburgh in season five of The Crown. The Games of Thrones actor is 75 and during the time period season five is set in, Prince Philip would have been in his late 60s and early 70s.

Princes Charles

The now King Charles III is played by Dominic West, but during the timeframe of season five of The Crown, he was Prince Charles. West isn’t the most similar to Prince Charles, with Josh O’Connor playing the role of the now King in season four. Dominic West in 53 years old and Charles would’ve been in his mid to late 40s.

Princess Diana

Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki has taken the reins from Emma Corrin as Princess Diana in The Crown. There has been drama surrounding Debicki’s portrayal of Diana, mainly due to her being 6ft2, while Princess Diana was 5ft8. Elizabeth Debicki is 32 years old and Princess Diana was in her 30s during the 1990s.

Camilla Parker Bowles

Camilla Parker Bowles, the now Queen Consort, is played by Olivia Williams. The British actress is 54 years old and during the 1990s, Camilla would have been in her mid to late 40s.

Sir John Major

Sir John Major served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party from 1990 to 1997, the very period that season five of The Crown covers. A lot of people have been thirsting over Sir John Major’s portrayal in The Crown, with a lot of people taking a liking to Jonny Lee Miller.

Princess Anne

Princess Anne was the ultimate vibe growing up and The Crown has always paid homage to that. Taking on the reins from Erin Doherty, Claudia Harrison stars as Princess Anne in season five of The Crown. Claudia Harrison is 46 years old during the 1990s, the Princess Royal would have been in her 40s.

Princess Margaret
