Ranked: These are officially the highest paid I’m A Celeb stars of all time

Nigel Farage is being paid nearly triple the previous record holder

| UPDATED

In the most recent seasons, I’m A Celeb has had huge fees for getting stars to appear on the show. You’d think it would be difficult to put a price on having to endure up to three weeks in hell, being fed next to nothing, and have bugs and animals crawling all over you in the night – but for some of the highest paid I’m A Celebrity stars of all time, that price was pretty decent.

Over the years there have been loads of six figure sums paid out to a whole range of different celebs to face their fears – from soap stars to MPs and footballers to reality TV icons. Here’s a ranking of the most paid I’m A Celebrity campmates of all time.

13. Jennie McAlpine – £250k

I am a little bit shocked to see a soap star on the list, because famously they aren’t always paid as much as others to appear in the jungle. Jennie knew her worth though, and the Corrie legend secured £250k to be in the 2017 lineup.

12. Nadine Coyle – £250k

via ITV

Our gal Nadine Coyle deserved nothing more than a hefty sum for gracing our screens once again, and if you ask me, a quarter of a milly simply isn’t enough. She should have had that for teaching the campmates the iconic Girls Aloud Promise dance alone.

11. Mike Tindall – £265k

It was a bit of a shock when Mike Tindall was announced as a 2022 campmate, given he’s a royal. But what’s the price to bag a royal on the show, you ask? £265k.

10. Mo Farah – £300k

via ITV

When the show went to Wales, Mo Farah was who the producers had their eye on to keep the public wanting to watch the show. The Olympic athlete was reportedly paid £300k.

9. Matt Hancock – £400k

Matt Hancock has probably been one of the wildest signups for I’m A Celebrity in the show’s history.  A spokesperson for Hancock said of his fee: “Matt will be making a donation to St Nicholas Hospice in Suffolk and causes supporting dyslexia off the back of his appearance.”

8. Amir Khan – £400k

via ITV

Amir Khan provided one of the most over the top scandalous moments of the 2017 series, when he ate the strawberries and cream he’d won in the Dingo Dollars challenge, and told camp he’d lost. For that, the £400k seems worth it.

7. Ian Wright – £400k

Ex-footballer Ian Wright MBE was part of the show in 2019. He was paid £400k and lasted 18 days in the jungle. Not bad for two and a half week’s work.

6. Katie Price – £450k

via ITV

Katie Price is an I’m A Celebrity legend – and back when she was on the show the fees were a lot less. Katie is the only celebrity to have been on the show not once, but twice. When she went on in 2004 she met her first husband Peter Andre, and went on it again in 2009 at the cost of £450k. I wonder which prize she appreciated more?

5. Boy George – £500k

via ITV

2022 campmate Boy George was believed to have been paid £500k to appear on the show, making him one of the highest paid I’m A Celebrity campmates to date. A lot of people have questioned the decision to have him in the jungle, because of the fact he has a criminal record and was once arrested for assault and false imprisonment.

4. Harry Redknapp – £500k

via ITV

Boy George isn’t the only one who bagged £500k for appearing on the show – as did football manager Harry Redknapp. He was in the 2018 jungle and definitely earned his fee because he ended up being crowned king of jungle. Fair enough.

3. Caitlyn Jenner – £500k

via ITV

In second is Caitlyn Jenner, who was also paid half a million to appear in the jungle. I think pretty much most of the nation was shook when she was announced as a campmate in 2019, and then shook once again when she struck up an iconic friendship with Nadine Coyle and Jacqueline Jossa.

2. Noel Edmonds – £600k

Noel Edmonds is up next. He was a late arrival in the 2018 series, and clearly the casting team thought he was going to have a much bigger impact than he did. He was last to arrive in the jungle, and first to leave. Fuming.

1. Nigel Farage – £1.5million

via ITV

2023 campmate and ex-UKIP leader, Nigel Farage, has reportedly been paid £1.5million to appear in the jungle. This would be the first time a cast member has been paid in the millions, well eclipsing any previous pay packets.
