Meet the five new cast members joining Alfea College in Netflix’s Fate: The Winx Saga

Season two of Fate: The Winx Saga has dropped on Netflix and there are several new faces who are joining the magical halls of Alfea College. Season two picks up following the events of the last school year which found Alfea College under military occupation following a coup by Rosalind and Queen Luna. The new season will see the fairies adapt to the new school regime as well as the introduction some brand new characters. Meet the new cast members who have joined Fate: The Winx Saga and where you recognise them from:

Rosalind – Miranda Richardson

One character fans will recognise have had a change in actor is Rosalind. The former headmistress of Alfea is now being played by Miranda Richardson. Rosalind is particularly interested in Bloom, who joined Alfea College in season one.

At the end of season one, fans saw Rosalind kill Dowling after she refuses to take a sabbatical. Miranda is well known for her role as Rita Skeeter in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She has also starred in Sleepy Hollow alongside Johnny Depp and played Barbara Castle in Made in Dagenham.

Flora – Paulina Chávez

Flora is a newcomer to Alfea College. She is an Earth fairy like her cousins Sam and Terra and has a passion for flowers as her name suggests. Paulina is most well known for her role in Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love.

 Sebastian – Éanna Hardwicke

Not much is known about Sebastian and his role in Fate: The Winx Saga. The actor has said fans will meet his character in Blackbridge, the local village outside of Alfea. People may recognise Éanna from his role as Rob in Normal People. He also starred in the TV series Smother has Joe Ryan.

Éanna is dating Alison Oliver from Conversations with Friends!

Grey – Brandon Grace

Our girl is getting what she deserves as Grey is Aisha’s love interest in season two! Grey is a specialist who share’s Aisha’s love for swimming, so here’s to hoping he is one of the good guys.

Professor Ben Harvey – Daniel Betts

Professor Harvey is another character who has been recast in season two of Fate: The Winx Saga. Ben Harvey is Terra and Sam’s father and is also the botany teacher at Alfea College. Fans may recognise Daniel Betts from his role as Sergeant Morris in Sex Education and Hinscliffe in Gentleman Jack.
