Reading Rainbow is an actual TV programme

Unless you’re American then you won’t know this but Reading Rainbow is an actual TV programme. It was an educational children’s television programme which aired between 1889 and 2006. According to Wikipedia, it was designed to encourage children – it even earned over 200 broadcast awards.

This all kinds of makes sense considering the TikTok trend is all about learning something new even if it’s really odd and niche.

The theme song slaps so hard
