For most, Squid Game was the first time we were introduced to the cast members. And what a blessing that truly was. So naturally, now we’ve become obsessed with the show we are equally as obsessed with the cast members in real life. Since Squid Game was released on Netflix, the cast members have each gained millions of Instagram followers – proving just how popular they really are.

They’ve been sharing super cute pictures of them all hanging out together, so after watching the show, the cast’s Instagram profiles really are where to be to fill the Squid Game shaped hole in your life. So here’s exactly just how many followers each of the cast members of Squid Game have gained on Instagram since the show was first released. Spoiler: It’s a lot.

6. Heo Sung-tae – 1.39million gained

Heo Sung-tae, who plays Squid Game baddie Deok-su, has gained well over a million followers since the show was put out on Netflix. According to Social Blade, the actor has gained 1.39million followers in the last 30 days. He has 1.5million followers now, so only had around 100k before everyone found him through Squid Game. The power of a popular Netflix series is real!

5. Park Hae-soo – 1.6million gained

Park Hae-soo, who plays Sang-woo, only started his Instagram account after the show was released. He now sits at 1.6million followers and his pictures with fellow cast members have got over a million likes. A very, very popular man.

4. Lee Jung-Jae – 2.6million gained

It’s also quite easy to see how many followers Lee Jung-Jae, who plays Gi-hun in Squid Game, has gained since the show – because before, he didn’t have an account. He started his profile with a selfie just a week ago, and now has 2.6million followers and has shared loads of pictures of him and the Squid Game cast.

3. Lee Yoo-mi – 5million gained

Lee Yoo-mi is a South Korean actress and she plays Ji-yeong in Squid Game on Netflix. Right now, she has 5.5million followers on Instagram and according to Social Blade, she has gained 5.08million of these followers in the last 30 days. She’s been gaining on average around 300k followers a day since the show dropped, with on one day her follower count rising by over 500k.

2. Wi Ha-joon – 5.7million gained

Are you surprised that Wi Ha-joon, the Squid Game cast resident police officer, has gained absolutely tonnes of Instagram followers? Go on his profile and see all the jaw-droppingly stunning pictures of him modelling and tell me you are surprised. Go on. According to Social Blade, he has gained exactly 5.74million followers in the last 30 days. Ha-joon currently has 7million followers, and there are definitely more flooding in every hour.

1. HoYeon Jung – 16.6million gained

Before Squid Game, HoYeon Jung, who plays player 067 Kang Sae-byeok in the show, had 400k followers on Instagram. She now has 17million and the number is rapidly increasing. According to Social Blade, she’s been gaining up to around 1.5million followers a day since the show – with one day her follower count increasing by over two million. Her notifications must be…chaos.
