Marriage or Mortgage on Netflix is about to be the new trashy reality show heaven
Home interiors AND dream weddings? I’m sold
If you need a new trashy reality TV show in your life, you’re about to get it in the form of Marriage or Mortgage on Netflix.
The 10-episode series follows young couples who have to chose if they want their dream home or the wedding of their dreams, because these days you know you can’t afford to have both. It’s like if Selling Sunset met Say I Do – but they were battling against one another.
If that doesn’t sound like a recipe for a oops I’ve watched it all in a day and I don’t regret a thing kinda show, I don’t know what is. Here’s everything you need to know about the series, before you inevitably become obsessed with it when it gets released next month.
Marriage or Mortgage is about young couples who choose either their dream home or a dream wedding
The engaged couples are introduced to wedding planner Sarah Miller and real estate agent Nichole Holmes. Each of the women can make one of their wildest dreams come true – but not both. The women battle it out, showing the couple’s why they should invest in what they sell – either marriage or a mortgage.
The Netflix full synopsis reads: “Married or single, we’ve all heard it. ‘You could buy a house for the price of that wedding!’ But have you ever stopped to think, what if you actually did? Nashville-based wedding planner Sarah Miller and real estate agent Nichole Holmes are here to help couples make this decision.
“Sarah, a hopeless romantic who spared no expense planning her own wedding, evidently shares the same sentiment as many of her brides and grooms – your wedding day is the most important and happiest day of your life, and the memories you make are priceless. But when you ask twice-divorced Nichole, if it doesn’t make dollars it doesn’t make sense! Nichole will tell you that a set of sparkling new house keys is the most romantic (and practical!) decision any couple can make. Sarah and Nichole will come armed with their strong opinions and best sales strategies to win a newly engaged couple over to their side.”
There will be 10 episodes of the reality series, released worldwide on Netflix on March 10th.
