Sam Thompson will ‘never take back’ Zara after her ’embarrassing’ apology posts

Sam Thompson will reportedly “never take back” his ex Zara McDermott, despite her constant apology posts on social media after she cheated on him.

Zara has posted a number of begging apologies, including a three-minute-long montage video of clips of them together, since they split last month.

But apparently Sam isn’t having any of it. A source told New! magazine: “Sam told Zara he needed some space to get his head straight. He wanted time to think everything through and, in all honesty, just found her public apology a bit embarrassing. It made him angry because he now thinks she’s just brought unwanted attention to their split again.”

The source added that Sam is “not interested in the slightest”, saying: “His ego was badly bruised by what’s happened and we doubt his pride will let him take her back. Zara is making a bit of a fool of herself. She’s not giving up – she really thinks she has a chance – but everyone in Sam’s circle knows it’s not going to happen and she’s fighting a losing battle.”

“He’s never going to take her back – she needs to stop.”

The pair ended their relationship in September after 16-months together. At the time, it was said they had a series of arguments during lockdown, but then it was claimed Zara had been with someone else. Zara was seen on Made in Chelsea this week telling co-stars what had happened and trying to get Sam to take her back.

On the show, Sam said that Zara had repeatedly slept with someone else whilst her other X Factor bandmates all went home to their partners. He said she was still liking his photos on Instagram and had “no remorse” for what she had done.
