There’s a new dreamy home makeover reality show coming to Netflix

Just when you thought nothing was going to get as good as the likes of Selling Sunset and Queer Eye, Netflix is releasing an all new home renovations show, called Dream Home Makeover.

The reality series will follow a couple who started their own interior design business and now have a huge Instagram account which is any interior makeover or home aesthetic lover’s dream.

Dream Home Makeover is all about an Instagram famous couple who started a home renovation business

Dream Home Makeover on Netflix gives us a sneak peek into the lives of Syd and Shea McGee, the husband and wife who are behind Studio McGee – an interior design company. Shea, who is an interior designer, created the couple’s dream home, and then began posting the pictures from it on Instagram. This then turned into them starting their own business.

The couple say they thought up the company “in a spare bedroom with lots of big ideas and no room for fabric samples” – but now they have over a million Instagram followers and share some of the dreamy projects they are working on. They also have an upcoming book, a home collection at Target, over 200,000 YouTube subscribers and their own decor line, called McGee & Co.

In true Marie Kondo style, the couple have a life motto – “make life beautiful” – and the Netflix series promises a behind the scenes look at their business and how they do just that, alongside raising their two daughters, Wren and Ivy. In the trailer they say they help clients with budgets from $20k to anywhere up to $2 million – and it’s their job to deliver them their dream home for that money.

Dream Home Makeover on Netflix will have six, 30-minute-long episodes and is released on October 16th.

The Netflix synopsis for the show says: “Dreams come true for real families looking for the perfect home tailored to their own unique style, thanks to Shea and Syd McGee of Studio McGee.”
