Before the fillers: The Only Way is Essex’s most dramatic transformations

In this day and age, nothing shocks us anymore. The Geordie Shore girls all resemble members of the Dolmio family. The cast of Made In Chelsea look like they've had secret fillers. And the most recent Love Island cast have had some dramatic surgery transformations.

But have you ever wondered just how much work the TOWIE girls have had done since the days of the vajazzle? Here is what they looked like before and after they went on the show:

Amy Childs

Before: Amy used to dye her hair that iconic red and was often shown working in her beauty salon.

After: She has admitted to having a number of cosmetic enhancements since she first appeared on the show, including a boob job and cheek and lip fillers.

Jess Wright

Before: Jess appeared from the first episode, often singing badly with the rest of her band Lola. She had dark brown hair, thin eyebrows and her make up was shiny.

After: Jess has previously said she has "categorically never had" fillers, but imo she looks like she's had her lips, teeth and nose done. Her eyebrows are a different shape, she wears fake eyelashes and looks picture perfect in every one of her Instagram posts. She's also invested in better hair extensions.

Lauren Goodger

Before: She was known as the Queen of Essex because of her on and off relationship with Mark Wright. Back then, Lauren had dark blonde hair and wore heavy make up.

After: Since her first appearance, she's had a nose job and what looks like fillers in her lips and face. Her eyebrows are also a completely different and her hair is a darker brown.

Lauren Pope

Before: When Lauren first came appeared on TOWIE, she was already an established model. She had mousy light brown hair and thin eyebrows.

After: Now Lauren's whole look has completely transformed. She admits to having veneers and having had a nose job. She's also had fillers in her lips and face along with two boob jobs. Her hair is thicker and longer, most likely due to wearing hair extensions.

Chloe Sims

Before: Back in the day Chloe used to have dark brown hair and wore a more natural look than she does now.

After: Now Chloe is almost exclusively blonde and has had her teeth, lips, nose and cheeks done. Her eyebrows are fuller too.

Gemma Collins

Before: The GC enjoyed being a brunette for a little while before she went platinum blonde. She had thinner eyebrows and simpler eye make up in 2011.

After: Gemma has fake eyelashes, her eyebrows are a lot more defined and she wears blonde hair extensions. She insists she's the only cast member who hasn't had any cosmetic work done.

Sam Faiers

Before: Sam had blonde hair, wore fake eyelashes and always had a smile on her face.

After: Her hair is darker, she's had a baby and also what looks like a few fillers in her lips (and potentially botox in her face.)

Lucy Mecklenburgh

Before: Lucy had purple hair when she first appeared on TOWIE and she rocked the foundation lip.

After: Lucy has had a less dramatic transformation in comparison to the other girls. Her teeth look really straight after the show, her eyebrows are more filled in and she now has a bob.

Lydia Bright

Before: Lydia had bright blonde hair when she first appeared as Arg's ex-girlfriend.

After: Her lips look like they're a different shape and bigger, she may have had cheek fillers to smooth out and lift up her face. Her eyebrows are more arched too.

Megan McKenna

Before: Megan auditioned on Britain's Got Talent years before she went on The Only Way Is Essex. Back then, she looked completely different with thinner eyebrows and thinner lips.

After: Now Megan has ashy blonde hair extensions and slimmer facial features but bigger lips.

Amber Turner:

Before: Amber looked so different just a few years back.

After: She now has long blonde locks, her eyebrows are a different shape and her lips are fuller, as well as her cheeks.

Georgia Kousoulou

Before: Georgia had blonde hair all over and her eyebrows and lips were thinner.

After: Georgia has balayage hair and has admitted to having a nose job done. Her eyes look wider, suggesting she had Botox done and her lips bigger. Hey eyebrows are also a more defined shape.

Chloe Meadows

Before: Chloe wore a natural, fresh faced make up look before the show.

After: Tbh it doesn't look like she's had any work done. The only thing that's changed is her eyebrows as they are fuller and her hair is an ashier blonde.

Courtney Green

Before: She's always had dark brown hair and wore a natural eye make up look.

After: Courtney's lips do look fuller and her make up is more dramatic, but aside from that she looks the same as before.

Ferne McCann

Before: Ferne had long brown hair and thin eyebrows.

After: Ferne's lips are way bigger, her eyebrows are fuller, she's had her mole lasered off and she's also admitted to having a nose job. But she denies having fillers.

Yazmin Oukhellou

Before: Yaz had long brown hair and pouted in her pictures.

After: Yaz doesn't look that different to how she did before the show, but she has admitted to having had her nose done. Her lips also look plumper and she has longer eyelash extensions.

Danielle Armstrong

Before: Danielle sported a natural look with thinner eyebrows.

After: The biggest change in Danielle's look are her eyebrows, but she's also admitted to having botox and fillers done due to "scrutiny on Towie."
