The words you use everyday can give away a lot about your social class, according to etiquette expert William Hanson.

Hanson has revitalised an upper-class vocabulary list from 1954, which revealed the language choices of the British upper-classes.

The new list consists of 27 “upper class” words and compares them to “non-upper class” words, most commonly used in 2017.

Obviously, this list isn’t definitive in figuring out what kind of circles you actually hang out in. But, it is a good indicator of whether you’ve been watching too much Made in Chelsea.
