People are convinced that MAFS UK producers stepped in to save this couple, and I’m sold

It does look staged

Yesterday’s episode saw Leah and Leigh attempt to mend their turbulent honeymoon, leaving some people convinced that the MAFS UK producers stepped in behind the scenes.

Earlier this week, tensions reached boiling point when Leigh, 30, confessed to Leah, 35, that she wasn’t excited about their honeymoon, causing a heated argument. Things only escalated as the pair attempted to connect, with Leah taking Leigh on a zip-lining activity, a move that appeared to make matters worse rather than better.

However, the latest episode presented a dramatically different picture. On a snowy Swiss getaway, the couple enjoyed a romantic dinner where Leigh opened up about her struggles to connect emotionally following past relationships.

In a heartfelt moment, she admitted that she had subconsciously “turned a switch off” and found it difficult to fully engage: “And that is why, like, there’s a bit of me that’s kind of, like, kicking myself a little bit. I’m like, why is that bit not there? Because I am attracted to you in a lot of ways.”

In a symbolic gesture, Leigh fed Leah a spoonful of her dinner, declaring: “You asked for effort, I’m giving you effort.”

Leah appeared touched by the effort, praising her new wife for actively working on their connection. Speaking to the camera, she reflected: “It makes me feel like I’m definitely heard, so I feel like she is trying.”

Despite the tender moment, some people took to social media to speculate that the reconciliation may not have been entirely organic. Comments on X suggested producers might have intervened to guide Leigh’s apology and ensure the honeymoon drama didn’t derail the narrative.

One wrote, “Did she work on it? Or was she told by producers to get it together?” while another added, “Given Leigh’s little speech there, the producers have had a word!”

Whether it was natural growth or subtle producer guidance, the dinner scene marked a turning point for the couple. Thank God at least one couple are trying!
