A handy timeline of the MAFS Australia 2025 filming schedule, break-ups and general mess

Is is just me, or are all the dramatic events of MAFS Australia 2025 becoming very hard to keep track of? I need a colour-coded diagram of who is feuding with who. To help you keep everything straight in your head, here’s an easy-to-read timeline of all the filming and ensuing drama of MAFS Australia 2025. You’re welcome.

March 2024 – casting began

Thousands and thousands of people apply to be on each season of MAFS Australia. Although lots of contestants apply themselves, Channel Nine frequently scouts people they reckon would be a good fit for the MAFS

Dave apparently applied to be on a different Channel Nine show called FBoy Island Australia, but was eventually cast in MAFS instead.

Eliot told Yahoo Lifestyle he was scouted, got a bit confused, and thought he was going on an Australian property renovation show called The Block. This explains why he seemed so uninterested during his wedding to Lauren.

July 2024 – filming kicked off

The weddings mostly took place around Sydney. The honeymoons were filmed at super glamorous hotels all over Australia.

Most of the show was filmed at apartments at One Global Resorts Green Square in Sydney.

October 2024 – Final Vows took place

Now, Queen Camilla walked past the MAFS apartments on 22nd October. The cast members were photographed leaning out the windows and waving at her. The Daily Mail reported some contestants wanted to get a closer look, but had to get ready for a dinner party.

So, from this detective work I can henceforth conclude it seems likely the last dinner party was filmed then, and the Final Vows took place in the days following on from this. Filming must have dragged on until the end of October 2024.

November 2024 – Jacqui and Clint got together

Jacqui has repeatedly said she and Clint didn’t flirt very much while MAFS was being filmed, and the couple got together in the window between Final Vows and the reunion.

She said on the Australian radio show Fifi, Fev & Nick: “He reached out to me and wanted to get to know me. And after Final Vows, he invited me down to Tassie [Tasmania] to spend some time with him. We do have a 14-year age gap, so I was a little nervous about that, but after meeting him, the age gap didn’t matter. It didn’t affect us at all. Clint is a successful businessman, and we’re both going into business together now. Life is looking great.”

November 2024 – the reunion was filmed

Ryan said on the MAFS Funny Podcast that the two reunion episodes were filmed about three weeks after Final Vows. So, Clint and Jacqui really hadn’t been together for very long before they rocked up to the reunion together.

December 2024 – Adrian was still in touch with Awhina

This is where it gets confusing. Spoiler alert: Adrian and Awhina chose to split at Final Vows, because they couldn’t see their relationship working in the real non-MAFS world. But after hearing each other’s vows, the pair changed their minds and decided to see where things would go? What makes things even harder to follow is that they have very different accounts of what happened between them.

Adrian told Yahoo Lifestyle that he and Awhina were “heavily involved in each other’s lives” after filming wrapped. He claimed they were in contact “regularly, if not every second day” during their separate trips to Bali. Adrian posted about his holiday in December 2024, so it sounds like he was still close friends with Awhina at this point.

January 2025 – MAFS started airing in Australia

The cast was announced in the middle of January, and the first episode aired on 27th January. Over 2.5 million people watched it.

March 2025 – the show premiered in the UK

The first episode dropped on 3rd March and our lives have revolved around it ever since.

March 2025 – Jacqui filed a police report against Ryan

On 13th March, Jacqui revealed she had filed a police report against her on-screen husband Ryan for “sensitive, private, sexual content revenge”. It was was reported on 31st March that Jacqui had been granted an interim restraining order against Ryan. He then issued an apprehended violence order (AVO).

March 2025 – Awhina cuts Adrian off

On 31st March, Adrian said he’d stopped talking to Awhina so much about a week ago.

Awhina confirmed on 7th April that she’d cut Adrian out of her life.

She explained to the Daily Mail Australia: “He’d thank me for supporting him one day – then attack me the next. I finally realised, ‘He’s not a child. He’s a grown man choosing this behaviour.’ So, I blocked him. And he kept trying to come back – added me on Snapchat, TikTok…

“I was drowning next to him every time I helped him. I’m done rewarding poor behaviour because I feel sorry for someone.”

April 2025 – Clint proposed to Jacqui

The grand finale of MAFS aired in Australia at the start of April. Loads of cast members were reunited at viewing parties and press events. On 6th April, Clint asked Jacqui to marry him at a reunion watch party which MAFS fans had bought tickets too. The other cast members have quite a lot of opinions about this.
