Veronica reveals ‘real reason’ she was fuming over Eliot’s MAFS letter, but he disagrees
They both have very different stories
Things have already kicked off between Veronica and Eliot on MAFS Australia over his Confession Letter, and she’s revealed the real reason she was so angry.
On the show, it looked like the new bride was furious over what Eliot wrote in his letter, recalling the emotional moment that his younger sister fell into a coma.
However, according to her, she was actually annoyed that he wouldn’t answer her follow-up questions – not about the letter itself.
“It’s not easy as a family to find out that your sibling or daughter has a chronic illness, and I did relate, because I have endometriosis and it’s been a big issue for me since I was 13. I felt for him in that way, and I felt for his sister as well,” she told 9Entertainment.
“I asked questions about his mum, about his family, about his sister. ‘What’s your relationship with your sister? How old is she? Are you close? Does it affect you guys now?’ and I got nothing back. It was very challenging to me.”

“All of them were met with, ‘I’ve given you all of the available information in the letter’. I didn’t really gain any further insight, despite my attempts to understand the situation a bit better,” the bride continued.
Veronica revealed that she also wrote him a letter, which was “quite revealing” and she felt “very exposed” after sharing it. So, she found it “quite challenging” when he didn’t do the same.
However, Eliot has a totally different story, claiming nothing was cut from the show and the argument was exactly as we saw it on TV.

“Honestly, that felt like the least edited thing that I’ve watched. You can kind of tell just by the length of the argument, how they’ve kind of left most of it intact,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle.

The groom claimed that Veronica had to go and film with the producers for two hours, and he had no idea that she was even annoyed. When she returned, that’s when the argument erupted.
“I thought I did a great job, and I was kind of waiting to get a little bit more validation and a little bit more empathy and, kind of reassurance,” Eliot said. “And then she kinda knocked on the door, the camera bowls in, and it was a bit like a Jerry Springer moment.”
So, who’s telling the truth?!
