Tramlines announces British punk icon and more to join 2025 festival lineup
The festival returns at the end of July
Legendary punk poet John Cooper Clark has been added to this year’s Tramlines lineup – alongside a selection of other established and emerging artists.
The live music festival will return to Sheffield’s Hillsborough Park in July, and has already announced acts such as Pulp, Kasabian, and The Reytons.
John Cooper Clarke joins the bill for the festival’s opening day, which has been curated main stage headliners Pulp.
Originally from Salford, one of his poems titled “Sheffield” highlights his affinity for the Steel City, and even name checks Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker.
Reverend and the Makers’ Ed Cosens will now also be taking to the stage on Friday, as will Tramlines Apply to Play winners Magnolia and Molly and the Dolly Shop.
On Saturday, Sheffield-based Pattern + Push music management will once again showcase young rappers, singers, and producers. Plus, local artist development project Slambarz will be taking over the Speakers Corner stage for all three days – with grassroots hip-hop and spoken work performances.
Up-and-coming performers Hannah Rowe, Cowz, Mackenzie, April Tapes, Long Island, Flat Moon, Montello, Sacha T, and Freddy Forbidden also join Sunday’s roster.
Club-night inspired events have similarly been announced as part of the schedule – including Queer Cxntry (an LGBTQIA+ club night fused with country music) and three The Leadmill themed nights (XCX World, Club Tropicana, and Taylor’s Version).
Others announced for the lineup back in November include Brit award-winning The Last Dinner Party, rock band Franz Ferdinand, and ‘Unwritten’ singer Natasha Bedingfield.
Featured comedy acts include Russell Howard and Lucy Beaumont.
Tramlines Festival 2025 will run from Friday 25th July to Sunday 27th July, with limited tickets remaining for the final day on Sunday.
