Guys, everyone’s favourite TikTok golden retriever has died suddenly and I’m not okay

It’s a very sad day because the internet’s favourite TikTok golden retriever has passed away suddenly at just eight years old.

Tucker Budzyn, who has almost 12 million followers on TikTok and four million on Instagram and has been loved online since 2018, was diagnosed with cancer last week and sadly died from an infection following his chemotherapy treatment. 

In a devastating announcement video, his owner Courtney said in floods of tears: “Tucker’s gone. I’m so sorry. Tucker passed away on Wednesday, unexpectedly. He was doing really well with treatment, but we didn’t know that he had lymphoma in his intestines. Since the chemo was working so good and he was going into remission, it left a hole in his intestine where the cancer was.”

She shared that the Golden Retriever got an infection that “seemed to hit him overnight,” so they rushed him to the vets, but there’s sadly nothing they could do.

“We thought we were gonna beat the infection. He was so weak. We got him on antibiotics and fluids but it was too late. We tried to save him, but we couldn’t save him. He’s home now. I want you to know I tried to do everything I could. I did everything. His temperature kept raising and nothing was changing it. We had to let him go,” she shared.

It comes just a week after Courtney revealed that Tucker had been diagnosed with lymphoma and started treatment, but she was hopeful he would beat it. 

“I don’t know how this happened. I feel like I’ve done everything that I possibly could to prevent cancer. Tucker has eaten a fresh, balanced diet since he was little. He has gotten filtered water with added minerals. I don’t spray my lawn with chemicals. I don’t use cleaning chemicals in the house that are toxic. I don’t even use scented candles. I don’t wear perfume. He gets plenty of exercise and so much love. I’ve given him all the best supplements there are, and somehow this still happened,” she said.

Everyone loved Courtney, Tucker and his doggy son Todd’s funny skits, and the news has left people absolutely devastated. One person commented: “He was my comfort dog since 2018.
