Tommy Fury finally comments on *that* cringe running video where he nearly knocked over ‘granny’

2025 started off with a bang when Tommy Fury nearly knocked over an old woman while running in a charity 10k race in Tatton Park. The clip was widely shared on Twitter and TikTok, racking up millions of views and some very mean comments.

The event itself happened on January 4 and saw Tommy upload the video himself. It showed him whizzing past fellow runners and spectators before narrowly missing a collision with an unidentified older woman. We don’t know if she was an actual grandmother, but that’s what everyone was calling her.

Reacting to the hilarious moment, one person wrote: “Tommy Fury is that friend who in school would run with you the whole way then betray you at the end when they spotted their crush watching.”

“Glad you could find it funny. He overtook my Nan on the line, she’s heartsick at the moment, was her dream to finish in the top 500, missed by a place,” another joked.

Someone else said: “Jake Paul fights 60-year-olds meanwhile Tommy outruns them.”

Now, Tommy Fury has issued a statement and it didn’t even come with an apology for the old woman. I’d sue.

Though reports suggested both Tommy and Molly-Mae were considered for the current season of Love Island All Stars, neither of them is currently in South Africa with their peers. Instead, Tommy is in Lake Como, Italy, where he posted snaps from the plane, the stunning lake itself, and a yummy steak dinner that had me questioning my vegetarian choices.

“Right guys, straight off the plane, straight on the road, 10k done,” he said on his Instagram story before joking, “In this beautiful scenery, Lake Como you are beautiful. And just to warn everybody no grannies were hurt in the process at the finish line.”

The granny in question is yet to speak on the matter, but I’m praying to anyone who’s listening that she comes out with a scathing statement about Tommy’s unsportsmanlike conduct. Jake Paul likes fighting old people, so why can’t his nemesis?
