How the Selling Sunset cast is getting stuck in with helping the Los Angeles fire victims
Bre and Mary are donating clothes and Jason is finding people houses for free
The Selling Sunset cast were deeply impacted by the Los Angeles fires. Chrishell’s house was evacuated. Brett was also told to leave his home, and went to stay with Jason. Mary got Romain to climb over their roof and hose it down in cast the flames got too close. Nicole felt very stressed that her dogs were asleep.
The fire in the Sunset area has mostly been contained now. There should still be plenty of Sunset left for the agents to sell. The Selling Sunset cast have decided to get involved with helping people who were impacted by the Los Angeles fires. The Oppenheim Group has announced their agents will find people new houses for free. Other cast members are donating food boxes and their old clothes.
How’s how all the Selling Sunset cast are trying to help with the Los Angeles fires.
Bre is offering people her son’s clothes
The agent shared to her Instagram story that she has “so much clothing” from her son with Nick Cannon. She’s offering to donate clothes and diapers to families who have lost these items in the fires.
She’s also put on her Instagram story that she helped the company Chic Bites Catering give firefighters 100 food boxes. Apparently people drove around with all these food boxes for five hours, then spoke to an actual firefighter, who led them to the fire station by Sunset Boulevard.
The catering company thanked Bre and the real estate agent Jennifer Irene (who appeared in Selling the OC) for their help. It’s unclear whether Bre drove around delivering food personally, or helped pay for the food.

The food boxes appear to consist of plain white rice, ribeye steaks, spaghetti, slices of untoasted white bread, and deconstructed chicken kebabs.
The Oppenheim Group is offering to find new homes for people whose houses burned down
Jason filmed himself walking through his home. He said, “I woke up this morning to a lot of friends and clients reaching out because they lost their homes over the last couple of days and they need help with places to live now. Their families are displaced. And as real estate agents, we obviously have an obligation to help them find a place even when it’s going to be difficult, with thousands of people looking for places and not nearly as many houses available.
“But the Oppenheim Group is offering to represent anybody for free, or we will credit you back any commission you’ve paid, if you’ve lost your house and you’re now displaced. We will help you find a place, or do our best to help you find a place to rent.
“Real estate agents need to come together and work hard for the community. This is our time to be able to give back.”
Chelsea and Bre reshared the reel on their stories. Davina and Mary commented on the Instagram reel. So it looks like plenty of Selling Sunset agents are willing to help.
Brett Oppenheim appears to have quite a few opinions on the causes of the Los Angeles fires. He shared a “rant” to Instagram calling for the mayor Karen Bass to “focus on our city having sufficient water to fight fires, less crime and fewer drug addicted mentally unstable people sleeping on sidewalks.” He added, “much appreciated!”
Mary is giving away some of her clothes
The Selling Sunset agent is rounding up people’s clothes so she can give them to victims of the Los Angeles fires.
She said, “Okay, so, I’ve got a bunch of friends that are all pulling together. We’ve got kids’ clothes. I’m going through my clothes that I’m getting rid of – a tonne of stuff that I’m trying to give away to people in need. So, if you guys are in need, you’ve had to desert your homes, or you’ve lost everything, let me know what you need. And I will either put a post out there if we don’t already have it, or know somebody that has it. Or something. But we’ll try to get it for you.”
She would also like to bring people’s attention to the fact that one of her clients is part of an equestrian centre in Los Angeles and has machines she’ll use to help any horses who have been affected by the smoke.
Chrishell says people can stay on her sofa
Chrishell has now returned to her house. She posted about being on The Traitors US and also opened up about how being evacuated was stressful for her.
She said, “We’ve had no sleep. Thank God they put the fire out quickly. If it had happened the night before when the winds were happening and they weren’t allowed to fly, it would have been a completely different story, so I’m so thankful. We’re still in the red zone, so that means I still have to leave at any moment’s notice.”
She continued, “It just reminded me of, when I was 12 years old, watching my house burn and everything I owned in it – which obviously wasn’t a lot at the time.”
Chrishell she had “a little PTSD from that whole experience, which I completely forgot about until last night, as I was standing there in shock.”
She thanked her spouse G Flip for being so supportive and apologised for her dog gagging in the background.
She’s now offering to let her clients sleep on her sofa if they have nowhere else to go.
Chrishell wrote on her Instagram, “I have a free bedroom (unless a fire hits us obviously). If you are a friend or a client that has nowhere to go, just text me asap! It’s yours. Will delete this once it’s spoken for. Couch won’t be as comfortable but it’s also avail if needed.”
The story has now been up for 12 hours, so it’s looking like nobody has taken her up on her offer yet.
