Just 10 months after the couple publicly debuted their romance, sports presenter Laura Woods and Love Island star Adam Collard took to social media to announce that they are expecting a baby. The picture, posted last evening by the pair, was an adorable snap of Laura’s French Bulldog and a sonogram, with the caption “Hey, baby 💕”.

Many happy fans congratulated the couple, but a few comments remarked how they had already been suspicious of the news long before the announcement. The first hint was that Laura had been very inactive on social media, which could simply have been due to her extensive ITV coverage of the 2024 Euros. However, it was very unlike her to stay off socials this long, and joined with Adam’s silence, suspicion was high amongst her followers.

The pair have always been very open about their romance online, and Laura shared some very sweet photos of the pair captioned “Things I love x”. Adam replied in the comments: “always 🤍”. I guess we know why the pair were feeling so loved up back then.

The scarce posts that did make it onto Laura’s Instagram seem to be of her facing to the side, or covering her stomach in some way. In a video posted with ITV Football, she seems to be leaning over and posing behind her birthday cake, but this didn’t stop fans guessing in her comment section. One of the post’s top comments reads “Is Laura woods pregnant 🫄”, posted two weeks before the announcement broke.

Many people have pointed out a change in her attire during the Euros this summer, switching out her usual stunning tight dresses for a chic oversized blazer look (which she absolutely rocked). Maybe she just fancied a wardrobe change, or maybe these were the first hints she was hiding some pretty big news.

She featured in some ITV clips posted online, and fans couldn’t help but speculate further, as they noted this drastic change in wardrobe and her “glowing” beauty. One user on Instagram wrote: “Woodsy glowing with health, looking double hot, absolute stunner … is she expecting???”

In a similar style to Laura’s touching Instagram tribute to him, Adam dropped a hint that he had undergone a recent positive life change online, when he shared a snap of a post-it note that read: “Just remember 5 years ago, you dreamed about where you are now”. The Love Island star has never hidden his wishes to “marry and have kids” with the TNT sports host, so when Adam expressed this happiness online, it wasn’t hard to figure out what the secret might be.

Adam has very passionately spoken about having kids, and hinted that we might expect less content from them as they start a family. Adam previously admitted: “I’m protective, whether it’s Laura, or my family, my friends.

“I want to get married. I want to have kids as well. I’ve always thought, what type of person will I be? How can I protect my kids?

“Obviously I’ve never had a kid, but I don’t think I’ll be plastering it all over [social media]. I want them to have a fair fight and a chance not to be judged straight away.”
