From start to finish: A rundown of Madeline Argy’s beef with Central Cee and Ice Spice

If, like the rest of us, you’re caught up in the Madeline Argy and Central Cee beef once again but still need a bit of help piecing it all together, you’re not alone.

TikTok is still in a bit of a meltdown after the social media influencer and Pretty Lonesome podcast host accused her boyfriend, rapper Central Cee, of cheating on her on Friday.

After confirming their romance back in September 2022 through a satire TikTok video, their relationship has been pretty public. The pair split in late 2023 but their recent holiday together had fans thinking they could be back on.

However, any hope of that looks to be dead in the water following the release of Cench’s new song with Ice Spice last, week which featured some suggestive lyrics – it looks like they could be over for good.

In a series of videos Madeline posted about their break up online, it’s safe to say she seems pretty pissed. Here’s a rundown of everything that’s gone down between the pair.

Madeline and Cench look to be back on

Despite the pair splitting in September 2023, Madeline shares pictures of herself having fun in New York with Cench in February, with him featuring in her Instagram carousel. He’s wearing a pin reading “Valentine girlfriend wanted, no experience necessary.” Talk about mixed signals. If I’m confused, I can’t imagine what Madeline was going through.

Madeline calls out Central Cee’s comment on Ice Spice’s Instagram

After appearing to be fully back on, being spotted in Nigeria together as recently as June, the Madeline Argy and Central Cee cheating drama kicks off on July 3rd. Things go south when Madeline uploads a screenshot to her Instagram Story.

The photo is of the comment section of a video Ice Spice uploaded of herself, under which her boyfriend, Cench, comments: “Trouble.” I would actually not recover if I was Madeline.

Madeline swiftly deleted the story, but the confusion remained. Were Madeline and Cench together at this point or not? Were he and Ice Spice actually doing anything wrong or is it all a marketing ploy to boost their popularity? It only gets messier from here.

Ice Spice and Central Cee’s song gets released

Their song is released on Thursday 11th July, and the lyrics don’t look great for Madeline. Central Cee’s verse in the song Did it First includes lyrics that read:

“She investigating, detective. Lucky for me, I deleted the message. All along, it was me and a bad bitch. But I told her it was me and my bredrin.”

It actually gets more detailed after this. The verse continues: “If I went court for all of the times I got caught, I’d have about 16 felons. I keep coming’ with stupid excuses like, ‘I was juiced and tripped and fell in'”.

Good lord, what do you do with that? The song was accompanied by a sensual music video featuring Ice and Cench in a bed together. It’s hard to imagine what it would be like to be in Madeline’s shoes when all of this came to light. Except you don’t have to imagine, because in her five part TikTok explanation of it all, she tells us exactly how it felt.

Madeline claims that Cench exposed himself for cheating in his new song

Starting off the video saying “Girls you told me to stand up so I’m standing up”, Madeline’s five part explanation of her version of events is littered with messy drama. First and foremost she states, “I did not know that any of that was going to f*cking happen.”

Posting the clips on the same day of the song’s release, she recalls a few months ago when Cench shows her the verse. Recreating her reaction, she explains how she initially thought: “Yeah serenade me, I’m about to hear some poetry.”

But upon hearing the lyrics of Central Cee and Ice Spice’s song Did it First, some of which are quite sexually suggestive, Madeline explains how she accuses him of cheating.

Madeline said: “I’m like what the f*ck, not only did you just snitch on yourself that you’re cheating but you just told me exactly how. Give me your f*cking phone.

“He tells me its just marketing and I know how the internet works so I just forget about it.”

She accuses him of starting a dating rumour whilst they were together

Then the podcast host goes on to frustratedly accuse Central Cee of sending “his own personal car to start a dating rumour” with another influencer. She adds: “I was knees deep with you guys in that comment section asking if we were still together.”

It gets so much worse. Madeline laughs through the pain when she laments: “I tried to have a conversation with him about it and all he kept saying was ‘alright.'”

Her team was also confused by the situation, as Madeline claims they were concerned about her upcoming trip with Central Cee to Nigeria. Madeline begins the third video in the TikTok series by claiming: “And this is when it clicks. This is not a vacation, I have just entered this mans marketing scheme.”

She still goes on the Nigeria trip on the condition that the professional photos of them do not get released, as Madeline clarifies: ” I just don’t wanna lose the last shred of my dignity.”

But despite this and as we know, the pictures got posted. This is when Madeline readdresses the song: “I then remember he also gave me a release date for the song, and I’m realising that it’s only like, a month and a bit away, and that this Lagos incident was not a coincidence, and I am knees deep in this guys plot.”

She adds: “I didn’t want to be seen with him for as long as possible before this song drops because I want to be as far away from that conversation as humanly possible. The girlies are f*cking laughing at me, I cannot take another public humiliation.”

Madeline tries to break up with Cench

So as the no nonsense queen that she is, Madeline apparently asks to meet up with Cench to end things, but she said he responds saying “I can see you for this conversation on the 1st July”.

It gets to 11pm on July 1st with no meet up and Cench apparently calls up Madeline to say “You need to remember that I’m a human being when you see what you’re gonna see tomorrow.”

This is when videos surface of Ice Spice and Central Cee shopping together.

Madeline claims that that was the last time they had direct contact and that Cench was quick to post a photo “with a f*cking baddie” the next day. She exclaimed: “Imagine you break up with your boyfriend and the next day he’s posted up with Ice Spice in Chrome Hearts. I didn’t even get to actually break up with him and he’s already with the next girl!”

Madeline then shares a screen shot of her and Central Cee’s instagram DM’s where he is quite frankly embarrassing himself.

Central Cee response with a TikTok video

Holding his head in his hands whilst smiling, Cench posted a TikTok with the song lyrics from the verse allegedly detailing how he cheated on Madeline, playing in the background. He simply captions it: “Erm.”

So, whether the Madeline Argy and Central Cee cheating beef is real or not, we don’t know. Madeline’s fans have descended on the comment section regardless, writing: “We ride at dawn for Madz.”
