Not another one! Dan and Matt from last year’s MAFS UK have split after two years
‘Breakups are never easy, even when amicable – we can’t thank you enough for your support’
The amount of couples from Married at First Sight UK couples who make it work following the experiment is slim pickings to say the least, and they just got a whole lot slimmer now one of MAFS’ couples who seemed so solid have decided to go their separate ways – Dan Mckee and Matt Jameson made history as the first same sex couple on the show, but they’ve split up after two years.
Dan and Matt told MAFS UK fans the news of their split on Instagram, posting a joint announcement that reads: “As you all know, we have been on an incredible adventure together the last two years and we have given ourselves every opportunity to make things work as a couple, but over the last few months we have realised that we are actually better as friends.”
“Break ups are never easy, even when amicable, but we can’t thank you enough for your support and kindness following our journey together.”
The two continued: “There’s nothing but love and good energy between us, and we feel very lucky to have found each other in our lives. Just sadly not as a couple! And although we are parting ways, we will always continue to support one another.”
The two had previously seemed really solid, with a prominent presence on social media – known for their cute couply dance TikToks. Their split leaves the only two remaining couples from MAFS UK being Adam and Tayah from 2021 and Jenna and Zoe from 2022.
