George from MAFS UK says he’s going to ‘speak his truth’ in a new TV documentary
He was arrested last month under suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour
George Roberts from the 2022 season of Married at First Sight UK, who was partnered with April Banbury on MAFS, has shared on Instagram that he will be talking in a new spin-off documentary where he’s going to “speak his truth”. The news comes after he was arrested last month after three of his exes accused him of controlling and coercive behaviour.
‘Felt good to be speaking my truth in front of the camera today’
George posted a carousel of Instagram pictures that show him filming, and tagged Emanation Films in the caption who assuringly are the production company behind the documentary.
George Roberts has denied all the allegations against him since his arrest last month, and seems determined to clear his name. The arrest occurred after three of his exes raised concerns about seeing George in the trailer for MAFS UK – and this new documentary seems to be George telling his version of events.
The Met police confirmed they were investigating George for harassment and controlling behaviour. At the time, the Met said: “A 40-year-old man was arrested in Worcestershire on Thursday, September 29, on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour. He was taken to a police station and bailed pending further enquiries.”
Before he announced the documentary, George continued to star in episodes of MAFS UK and him and April continued to commit to their vows before their split after the show. April has said that following the show she has “needed therapy.”
