Wizards of Waverly Place cast now

15 years on, what are the stars of Wizards of Waverly Place up to now?

Still not over Selena Gomez’s picture outside Waverly Place🥺🥺🥺

Wizards of Waverly Place has been around for as long as many of us care to imagine. 15 years ago, we were all blessed with Alex Russo, a young wizard, and her shenanigans at school and in the wizarding world. Selena Gomez recently shared a photo to her Instagram of her outside Waverly Place in New York City and the feeling of nostalgia is next to none. Besides Selena Gomez, whom we all know what she’s been up to, what are the other cast members of Wizards of Waverly Place up to now?

Selena Gomez

Following the end of Wizards of Waverly Place in 2012, Selena went onto star in a series of movies including Hotel Transylvania and she still voices Mabel, 10 years on. In 2020, she began hosting her own cooking show called Selena + Chef and it’s very wholesome. In 2022, it was announced she would be dropping her very first documentary called My Mind and Me. The documentary airs on Apple TV+ on November 3rd 2022 and follows her across six years after reaching the very best of fame.

Gomez also currently stars in Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short, with season three underway. She still makes music and has featured on a string of songs, with her latest feature being on Rema’s Calm Down.

David Henrie

David Henrie took on the role of Alex’s annoying older brother Justin and it took until the very last episode of WOWP for fans to actually enjoy his character. David has starred in a lot since his Disney days but has dabbled in the world of production and directing. His latest project, which her directed, is Boys of Summer starring Mason Thames and Mel Gibson.

Henrie always shares the most wholesome throwback pictures and reunions with his Waverly Place co-stars, taking us all down memory lane. David Henrie has been married since 2017 and they have three children together, with their third being born in July 2022.

Jake T. Austin

Jake T. Austin was the youngest of the Russo clan and started his acting career at seven years old. Just a year after Wizards of Waverly Place, Austin went onto star in The Fosters as Jesus Foster before Noah Centineo took over. Austin hasn’t been up to a whole lot since the late 2010s but his latest project Adverse dropped on Apple TV in March 2021.

Jennifer Stone

The best friend we all wanted was Harper and no one can say any different. After Wizards of Waverly Place ended, Jennifer went on to study psychology. In 2013, the Disney star was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and she changed her career to nursing. Stone now works in the ER at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank and during the Covid-19 pandemic, she worked on the frontlines.

Stone still acts and often shoots TV shows and movies when she can. In 2019, she starred in The In-Between, an American road trip film.

David DeLuise

David DeLuise did not stop acting after WOWP ended and has starred in a string of Pup Star movies since 2016. You can currently request a Cameo from DeLuise to get a message from Jerry Russo or a birthday shoutout. David is currently married to Julia Stoepel and he has two children from a separate marriage.

Maria Canals-Barrera

The best TV mum in the game of Theresa Russo and I won’t be hearing any suggestions at this time. After starring in Wizards of Waverly Place, Maria went on to star in Cristela, an American sitcom from 2014 to 2015. Maria has been married since 1999 to David Barrera and they have two children together.

Gregg Sulkin

Our favourite werewolf cannot be forgotten! After putting us through his horrific English accent of two seasons, Gregg won on to star in Faking It for three seasons. In 2017, he starred in Marvel’s Runaways and even rubbed shoulders with the teen drama greats in Pretty Little Liars. In 2021, Gregg starred alongside Disney royalty, Emily Osment, in the sitcom Pretty Smart.
