Revealed: The ‘fake’ Insta stories Coleen Rooney posted and says caught out Rebekah Vardy

The Wagatha Christie court has also heard Wayne Rooney has a private Insta called ‘Wazzaroon08’

The moment we’ve all been waiting for in the Wagatha Christie libel trial between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy has finally happened: The court has seen the alleged fake Instagram stories that Coleen Rooney posted to catch Rebekah Vardy out as the serial leaker and, well, they’re as iconic as we’ve spent all this time hoping they would be.

The case began after Coleen Rooney famously publicly posted about her suspicion that one of her friends was leaking private stories to the press, so she started to post fake information to her private Instagram story. Rooney states she changed the settings so only Rebekah Vardy could see the stories, and then all three of the fake news that she’d stated ended up in the press.

‘Needed after today 😫’

The first story showed Coleen Rooney on a flight, posting the caption “Let’s go and see what this gender selection is all about.” At the bottom of the screenshot, it shows a profile she alleges is Vardy as the only viewer.

The second story is pure LoveOfHuns wine mum, complete with the classic “Needed after today 😫…” – and the fake news that there’s a flood in the basement of the Rooney household.

The third screenshot shows Coleen Rooney saying that she’s considering going back to TV work, with Rebekah Vardy allegedly again being the only viewer of the fake news Instagram stories.

Coleen Rooney’s legal team presented the screenshots to the court in the libel case today. The screenshots are a key piece of evidence in the trial, as the phone that was alleged to contain the WhatsApp messages between Rooney and Vardy was lost in the North Sea. Elsewhere in the trial, Wayne Rooney was asked if he was the owner of a private Instagram named “Wazzaroon08”, which he confirmed in court.

The pictures of Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney from the court artist have also come out today, and it’s safe to say that the reaction to the accuracy of them has been mixed at best.

Today is the trial’s sixth day at the High Court, as Coleen Rooney is sued for defamation by Rebekah Vardy after the public accusation that the latter was the one leaking stories to The Sun newspaper and started the feud that became known as Wagatha Christie.
