Anatomy of a Scandal is the latest Netflix drama to get everyone talking – it contains an impressive cast and the show has gone straight into the top spot in the most watched shows list right now.

The six-part political thriller series is based on Sarah Vaughan’s best-selling book of the same name, and tells the story of Britain’s political elite when a scandal threatens to bring everything crashing down. It follows the wife of an MP whose life and marriage is thrown into the spotlight when her husband admits to having an affair and is accused of sexual assault. The limited series follows the high-profile trial that follows and the connection to a mysterious incident from their past.

Sienna Miller – Sophie Whitehouse

One of the main faces you definitely recognise from the Anatomy of a Scandal cast is Sienna Miller, who plays Sophie Whitehouse. Sophie seems to live a charmed life, but it all comes down when her husband reveals his affair. Sienna Miller’s most recent credits include American Sniper, The Loudest Voice, The Lost City of Z and 21 Bridges. Her acting breakthrough came in the 2004 films Layer Cake and Alfie.

Rupert Friend – James Whitehouse

Sophie’s unfaithful husband and government minister James is played by Rupert Friend. Rupert Friend is a huge name in British dramas, having starred in Pride & Prejudice, The Young Victoria and Hitman: Agent 47. He was also in Homeland.

Michelle Dockery – Kate Woodcroft

Michelle Dockery is also in the show, and there’s no doubt you know her face, most likely from Downton Abbey. She plays Lady Mary Crawley in the period series, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She rose to fame for her performances in the television film Lemonade Mouth and the science fiction series Terra Nova.

Josette Simon – Angela Regan
