Anatomy of a Scandal is the latest Netflix drama to get everyone talking – it contains an impressive cast and the show has gone straight into the top spot in the most watched shows list right now.

The six-part political thriller series is based on Sarah Vaughan’s best-selling book of the same name, and tells the story of Britain’s political elite when a scandal threatens to bring everything crashing down. It follows the wife of an MP whose life and marriage is thrown into the spotlight when her husband admits to having an affair and is accused of sexual assault. The limited series follows the high-profile trial that follows and the connection to a mysterious incident from their past.

The show is full of big names and people you have definitely seen before. Here is the cast of Anatomy of a Scandal on Netflix and where you recognise all of their faces from.

Sienna Miller – Sophie Whitehouse

One of the main faces you definitely recognise from the Anatomy of a Scandal cast is Sienna Miller, who plays Sophie Whitehouse. Sophie seems to live a charmed life, but it all comes down when her husband reveals his affair. Sienna Miller’s most recent credits include American Sniper, The Loudest Voice, The Lost City of Z and 21 Bridges. Her acting breakthrough came in the 2004 films Layer Cake and Alfie.

Rupert Friend – James Whitehouse

Sophie’s unfaithful husband and government minister James is played by Rupert Friend. Rupert Friend is a huge name in British dramas, having starred in Pride & Prejudice, The Young Victoria and Hitman: Agent 47. He was also in Homeland.

Amelie Bae Smith – Emily Whitehouse

One of the kids, Emily, is played by Amelie Bae Smith. Yes, that’s the annoying and creepy “perfectly splendid” girl from The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Michelle Dockery – Kate Woodcroft

Michelle Dockery is also in the show, and there’s no doubt you know her face, most likely from Downton Abbey. She plays Lady Mary Crawley in the period series, for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. In Anatomy of a Scandal, Michelle plays Kate – the prosecutor tasked with James’ case.

Naomi Scott – Olivia Lytton

Olivia is a parliamentary researcher who works for James and they begin having an affair. She is played by Naomi Scott – a British actress and singer. Naomi is best known as Disney’s live-action Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and as a member of both the rebooted Power Rangers and the rebooted Charlie’s Angels. She rose to fame for her performances in the television film Lemonade Mouth and the science fiction series Terra Nova.

Josette Simon – Angela Regan

Angela is a defence lawyer, and is played by Josette Simon in Anatomy of a Scandal on Netflix. You might recognise her as Eithné in The Witcher or from stage performances.

Hannah Dodd – Young Sophie

Young Sophie in Anatomy of a Scandal is played by Hannah Dodd, who you might have seen in Find Me in Paris or Harlots. She is set to appear in Netflix film Enola Holmes 2, so be ready to see more of her!

Ben Radcliffe – Young James

Young James is played by Ben Radcliffe, who has appeared in Pandora and The Evermoor Chronicles.  He is best known for his works such as The Lodge and Ransome.

Joshua McGuire – Chris Clarke

In the show, Chris Clarke is a Downing Street communications chief, and he’s played by Joshua McGuire. You might recognise him from Channel 4 and Netflix comedy series Lovesick, Cheaters or Industry.

Geoffrey Streatfeild – Tom Southern

Tom Southern is the Prime Minister and a personal friend of James’, who sticks by him during the allegations. You might recognise Geoffrey Streatfeild, who plays him, from Life, The Miniaturist, The Thick of It or Spooks.
