deepti shake apology

Deepti says Shake’s apology is ‘fake’, ‘insincere’ and she wants ‘nothing to do with him’

She also said he ‘wasted’ her experience on the show

Love Is Blind’s Deepti Vempati has described Shake’s recent apology to her as “fake” and she wants nothing to do with him.

Shake recently apologised to Deepti for how he spoke about her on the show during a video posted to Instagram this week.

However in an interview with the Daily Mail Deepti said his apology was too late as he only sent her the apology minutes before he posted on Instagram.

She said: “This is the first time he’s apologised. Right before he made that video, he sent me the same text message. But for me… it’s too late.”

Deepti claimed Shake was only apologising to save his reputation and he should have apologised earlier, she said: “I feel like he’s just doing damage control and clearly what he’s continued to do on social media since that apology, it’s evident that he does not care. He did that for show. He did that to get less hate but he’s not sorry.

“I honestly don’t want anything to do with him and his apology is fake. It feels insincere.

“Why now? After four/five weeks of this happening… as soon as episode one to four dropped he should have been apologising if it really was sincere and from the heart. He’s only done it because he’s getting a lot of hate.”

Throughout Love Is Blind Shake made a number of comments comparing Deepti to his aunt and said he had no physical attraction to her behind her back. And in the reunion episode he continued to back his comments however earlier this week he made an apology to Deepti on Instagram.

He said he shouldn’t have made those comments about her on national TV and he loved every second of their relationship.

Shake said: “I wanted to take this opportunity to really just say sorry to a woman that I know I hurt.

“Deepti, I am truly sorry for some of the things I said. Things that, honestly, just could’ve been left unsaid, or could have been said differently. Things that never should have been said on national television.

“Even though I knew our relationship wasn’t going to end in marriage, I didn’t want what we had to end either. I loved every second of it. I’m so, so sorry that I hurt you with my words. That’s the last thing that I wanted from all of this. I’m sorry, Deepti.”

In her interview with the Daily Mail Deepti also addressed Shake’s comments about not dating Indian women and his obsession with physical appearance. She questioned if Shake should have even gone on the show.

She said: “I am so disappointed because if Shake does place so much importance on the physical appearance and that’s a deal breaker then maybe Love Is Blind wasn’t the show for him. He wasted my experience. Maybe if I was blonde and different looking he may have married me.”

Deepti also said she was “broken” during the filming of the show and thanked her friends and family for supporting her throughout the process.
